    *Edit: BEFORE HE RETIRES

He will be the pussy of the story if he retires before it, more so if he loses at LW (what will likely happen).

The only scenario where he could do it is if Aldo enter in a losing streak and Conor keep winning

    If that happened I won't.
I'll say he's taken the best step towards building a legacy, finally

It is a lose lose for McGregor. He has bigger money fights elsewhere and that KO over Aldo already did the talking.

I doubt it will ever happen unless McGregor slides and is desperate for a big fight.

McGregor has wood to chop at 155. Being the champ and all. Unfortunately Aldo moves down the list.

Conor's too fucking scared to prove the 1St fight wasn't a fluke. And his gay fans are eating it up.

    Yeah,

I edited the post. I really hope he defends his LW belt, but I think that, in terms of legacy, he will need to face Aldo again, specially if Aldo keep winning, before retiring

A rematch with Aldo is his last resort Monopoly get out of jail card if he loses at 155.

IMO this fight should have already happened. That was before Conor's crusade though.

If Conor defends his belt at 155 and Aldo wins vs Holloway (which I'm not sure is going to happen) they can rematch at 155 for 2 belts. Would be pretty sweet and create hype IMO.

Nobody will want to see that fight after Holloway wrecks Aldo.

its a cool story, but can;t happen. 155 fight would only be for 155 belt. 145 would only be for 145. Fight Commission wouldn't sanction otherwise.

They could certainly fight, but only 1 title

It seems to me people forget how great Jose was over the course of his career. I think fans turned on him because of his canceling fights due to injury and that's the only reason there is not a strong clamor for the rematch ala Cain-Dos Santos.

Aldo's had his chance (3 of them to exact)

If they never fight again it won't be Conor's fault

No one want's to see Conor X Aldo II get booked only for Aldo to pull out again and Conor gets another short notice opponent in a stupid fight that makes no sense.

Aldo has to build himself back up first. Winning a decision over Edgar didn't cut it. Let's see him beat Mad Max decisively and then we can talk superfight vs king Conor.
