How does Connor sh!t talk a guy who just won his title and hasn't defended it?
I think Eddie is a better matchup as a LW champion than RDA would have been. I think if Conor gets the right match ups he can grab titles at LW and WW to go with the FW belt. Unfortunately for that to happen he will need two things:
First for Perfect Match Ups for his style to win the Belts
FW has already been a blessing in Aldo taking out Frankie. Little to no reason for McFlair to try to out do his 13 second KO
LW Eddie is a better match up for Conor than Khabib, RDA. Maybe Cerrone if he goes back down now that RDA lost the belt.
WW the only scenario I see lining up for Conor is if Ceronne comes in to a title shot as a last minute replacement for Thompson and manages to KO or sub Woodley.
Te second part is for the UFC to decide that their brand is worthless and to go all in on Conor. Him running around with belts that once he wins he will never defend erodes the worth of being a UFC champion and would be a massivve mistake by ownership. The base number of PPV buys is for the UFC brand and sales rise with the name value of the main attraction in each card. guys like Woodley, Alvarez and Aldo could all lose their belts to Conor and when he never defends them they could win the Interim belt but they would never be considered "The Champ". I don't think the New Ownership is stupid and Conor defends at FW or vacates.
