How does his style suit leg kicks? I know he switches stances quite often which means he wont take every kick on the same leg.

Do you think Aldo will be able to effectively use his leg kicks or will Connor check/absorb them no problem?

Are you not able to answer your own question with that gif.

You can't check on your backfoot

Aldo won't kick McGregor unless hes on his back foot.

I expect them to work to some degree. Conor leads in pretty far with one leg and seemed a little vulnerable to having his balance disrupted by leg kicks.

That depends, Aldo mostly throws right low kicks. Against a southpaw, the chances of going shin to shin are very high that way. Another problem is that Aldo kicks guys who are stepping away from him, not guys who are trying to walk him down.

The real question in my opinion is can Aldo slip and counter Mcgregor's left hand? That's Mcgregor's best punch, but he's also must vulnerable right after. And Aldo has the head movement plus the pivots to capitalize if he can get the timing--which admittedly isn't easy.

Not in my experience. I have seen muay thai in thailand and they do it all the time.

Conor doesn't plant and trade he is always moving in and out so I don't think Aldo will be able to successfuly lead with punches and finish with a leg kick. Aldo will likely continue what Siver did and try and take Conor's legs out during one of Conor's kicks. Make Conor commit and blast him that way.

I think people are underestimating how hard Conor will be to hit the way Jose loads up on power shots.

Dennis Siver knocked Conor down multiple times by catching him with leg kicks while Conor was off balance.

Kicks will only be a small part of the menu seeing Conor is good enough and smart enough to know they're coming and prep. No amount of prepping will totally avoid the leg chopping coming.

The Conor hype as awakened and inspired Aldo, Conor would've been better served to have snuck up on Aldo without all the bells & whistles going off while he was bored and uninspired. So thanks Conor it's been awhile since I've seen an excited Aldo.

Connor was caught a few times by Siver and his reach is miniscule. Aldo will catch him for sure. Connor doesn't have the illusive qualities of say Machida or Dillashaw. He's still a work in progress. Siver even took him down because his feet weren't in the right place.

Will be interesting to see how many of those Conor can take and how they will affect his movement.
