A McDonald's customer in Arkansas accused of emptying his cup of water and filling it with soda now faces a robbery charge, police said Tuesday.

The restaurant manager said the suspect was one of three people who asked for water at the drive-thru window in Springdale. The customers parked and walked into the store before dumping out the water and pouring soda into the cups, KHBS/KHOG-TV reports.

The manager spotted the three and told them to return the soda. Only 18-year-old Cody Morris refused, police say.

The manager even ran out and tried to block Morris' car from leaving, but the suspect reportedly drove his vehicle in reverse and hit the worker twice before speeding away.

Police arrested the driver after they said they found his car at a nearby bowling alley. It's unclear whether he'll face any additional charges aside from felony robbery.

I think it was Bay Area that made a thread a while back about how he steals soda.

Lmao. Bay Area moved to Arkansas and got caught

How do you return Soda?

Also expected Florida.

Asked for water at the drive through window? Did they pay for that?

did I read that right? did the suspect hit the manager with his car twice before speeding off...with the soda?

was it Barq's, the one with bite? Because I love that shit.

I can see that.

carry on.

Barq's is the only root beer worth robbing for.

I think I just found their new slogan btw

Young Cody Morris was faced with a dilemma :

Return the water cup full of soda.

Or keep it real.

lol wtf, all that for soda???
wild bruh

I for one will sleep better knowing this maniac is off the streets

He hit an employee twice with his car over a soda.
Wow just read that not trying to justify his actions but the manager shouldn't have put himself in that situation. Over a soda. When dumb meets stupid

My wife asks for a water cup at Panera and usually fills it with soda or iced tea. She's hard like that though.

It's the definition of robbery, taking something that belongs to someone else when you didn't pay for it.
Doesn't matter how petty, it's still theft.
Is this the "my transgression shouldn't matter since it was only..." generation?

A 12yr old kid here in WA got arrested for receiving stolen goods awhile back.
Apparently another kid turned up at a park he was playing at and gave him a 75 cent piece of chocolate bar he had stolen from a convenience store a few hours before.

Maybe stealing soda with water cups is a widespread epidemic with entitled millienials...

And this Manager may not be the hero we want but the hero we need!!

Perfectly stated. That manager is a dumbass for chasing some kids for soda and the kid is stupid for stealing soda and not "returning" it, then trying to run over the manager.

That dude must really like free soda. Also, lol at him going bowling with his free soda, probably breaking their soda rules too. The man's a soda outlaw.

well, he certainly looks like someone who would get arrested at a bowling alley in Arkansas.
