Compared to other potential opponents? Not really. At least the first one was competitive and because of that, the rematch will sell.
tbh im not that interested in the rematch. Money knows maidana now,it wont be as easy to replicate those dominant early rounds this time i think. I could see how they could sell it for sure,but i think money takes it easier than the first time.
Khan has to go with God because he got knocked out when he didn't fast and fought in Ramadan and a lot of idiots were saying shit to him and that he was a bad role model... Still a chance Khan takes it in September, if not guess he will have to wait a year, cant see him taking a fight in November/December, I see him waiting it out. Still though whenever he does fight Floyd he isn't going to beat him so he may as well just collect that paycheck and fight in September. Not comparing it to any other opponents, just saying that Mayweather beats him again, don't see MM doing anything different expect maybe a few more fouls.
I say it will be a Cotto rematch, if he gets by Martinez. That way Floyd can go after the middleweight belt.
This is what will happen. Cotto will beat Martinez. Cotto will fight Canelo in November, with Canelo putting him to sleep. Mayweather vs Bradley in September, which will shock the boxing community. May 2015 Mayweather vs Khan while Canelo fights GGG and beats him setting up, Canelo vs Mayweather II in September. Mayweather walks away 49-0 in a split decision Comes back 1 year later to fight Manny Pacquiao and retires 50-0.
If he beats Martinez, itll be Canelo vs Cotto November 22nd, Canelos final ppv of the year. The winner of that would be potentially set up for a rematch with Floyd in May or even September 2015. But I do think Floyds going to throw us a curve ball for his September 13th fight.
If I got to pick (aside from Pac), I'd go with Tim Bradley. That would be fun. If I had to bet on what I think actually happens, Maidana rematch. Seano's right. Would probably pull much better numbers this time with casuals hearing Marcos gave him hell and they would hype it up pretty good. I saw this story/headline on Yahoo! and cracked up at "avoids".
