I second this.
So what would you like to see Jacobs do next?
I think the winner of lee/Saunders then ggg/canelo winner. If that fight happens of course
I think that's logical. The only problem is, I don't think Canelo fights GGG right away. He hasn't fought at 160 yet, and he will probably want a title defense before fighting GGG, realistically. I'm actually okay with that, because he just had a huge fight with a ton of hype behind it. Mentally, it's fair to give him a fight of his choice before throwing him back into a huge PPV.
So, I think we'll see Canelo vs Lemieux (Golden Boy showcase, it makes sense to me).
Jacobs can fight Lee/Saunders. But that leaves GGG looking for an opponent that he hasn't already beaten on.
There's also a chance we get GGG vs Lee/Saunders, and Jacobs gets a Quillin rematch or random showcase fight in the meantime.
The other day I said that middleweight was the most interesting division right now, and I stand by that comment. I like every top middleweight fighter, and I think it's deeper than it gets credit for. The top middleweights are all very solid fighters, maybe only surpassed by 2 really light weight divisions.
GGG
Jacobs
Canelo
Cotto
Quillin
Lemieux
Lee
However you want to order them (that's my order), that's a good division. Even if COtto leaves, it's still good.
