To me, Maynard should have won. Emerson tapped. Doesn’t even matter if his opponent is out. Submitting is submitting. You can submit when you’re losing, submit when you’re winning, doesn’t matter. If you submit, and the ref notices it, that takes priority over anything else.

But he wasn't out! Didn't you listen to the post-fight interview? Maynard's arm was just caught up under Emerson and he rolled/flopped over onto his back cuz he was tired and the fact that his eyes were rolled into the back of his skull and he lay there motionless and unresponsive for about 10 seconds before trying to get up and falling over onto his face and then laying there for another 10 seconds was just coincidental! He was clearly still there!
