It will go some way into sorting the problem out but how much it will help remains to be seen.

They need a category for "Ronda weight" around 200 pounds.

Why should some magazine get to decide the weight limits?

Edit: Bastard.

Idk how much it'll change. Weight cutting is a tool for the vast majority of fighters. Initially I think this'll just result in bigger weight cutters trimming down earlier in camp or merely cutting weight twice in one week unless this'll include hydration tests.

So are they going to televise the pre weigh in weigh ins?

One would think hydration tests would be mandatory, the UFC can't allow fighters to get away with cheating just so they can get in there with the smaller guy's.

These rules are ridonk, Jones walks around at 230+... Rockhold might be over 202

That is walking around weight as you said.

Jones never been 230 lbs. in the week of his final stage weight cut. He's usually 215-220 leading up to the weigh ins. I can't speak for Luke.

Some guy called Joe Lauzon who has a confirmed account said on Reddit that these are just recommendations and ultimately it's up to the fighter to do what he/she needs to do for him/herself.

Just looked him up and Joe Lauzon is a UFC fighter. Probably not a championship level fighter cause otherwise I'd have heard of him.

That's weak. They should weigh in on fight day.

About damn time. Maybe now we can see more guys that can actually fight for 3 rounds without gassing.
