My wife, who is an Albuquerque criminal defense attorney, mentioned that maximum sentence for a hit and run, and possession of drug paraphernalia is a 3 year maximum sentence. It is largely a circumstantial case, he might beat it at trial, or get a friend to take the fall. The real question is, was the cash covered in cocaine dust?

Maximum sentence? Arresting officer will shoot the unarmed Jon Jones and then the chief of police will act surprised and city hall will blame bad training for the officers.

Aint no fuckin way hes getting the max
Tell your wife I said he'll get felony probation and be subject to court appointed drug testing and rehab and I bet she agrees with me

Around here in Florida a normal person would probably get 3-10 years for what he did. Heck I saw in the arrest reports recently that someone was arrested for not updating their driver's license address in 20 days. That is arrested and not just fined.

Sounds correct. Although I'm not familiar with the back story on prior convictions he has, if any.

30 days in the pen to think about his life choices. Probation, fine and community service. And still Dana White's #1 guy.

I know, 3 years is highly unlikely; community service and fine is more realistic.

Years ago a girl around 20 years old hit and killed a pedestrian and fled the scene around 2 or 3 o'clock the night. Someone followed her vehicle and got her tag number but she sped away.

Several witnesses testified that she had been partying and drinking that night. However, she did not turn herself in to the authorities until a day later and toxicology tests indicated no alcohol in her system.

Ultimately, she was found guilty of a few misdemeanors and sentenced to a few years of probation.

I should also mention that her family was rich and the victim was an illegal immigrant.

Yes because celebrities frequently do the maximum amount of time lol. Mandatory "rehab", a small fine, loss of several unimportant sponsors, some forced "apologies" and other bs about cleaning up his attitude/growing up, and at worst, some minor community service is all that will happen. He will absolutely not do time.

I don't think his wife was saying that he would actually get the max. That's just the term on the table. Either way, the dude just can't stay out of his own way and it's sad to watch.
