It is a late entry for 2018 but worthy of consideration.

Which fights this year were better than what we just saw last night? Pettis vs Ferguson was great but Max vs Ortega was better IMO.

2018 has been an outstanding year for fights.

Manuwa Santos I thought was better. Less implications, but funner to watch.

Candidate for beatdown of the year, not fight of the year. Fight of the year candidates are fights like Ferguson-Pettis and Romero-Whittaker II

i partially agree, it clearly isn't fight of the year when it was an ass whooping but Tony-Pettis cant be in the discussion because pettis quit like the bitch that he is.

    No

Max dominated, there was no real threat to Max at all

Not even close. Hell, I don't even think it was the fight of the night. Other than a brief moment in the 3rd that was a lopsided beatdown.

Was that a fight? Looked like Max was destroying a test dummy.

I think that was too one-sided to be in consideration for fight of the year. Romero/Whittaker 2 or Rodriguez/Zombie would probably get my vote
