Max Kellerman says "Zero % chance Floyd Beats Rousey in an MMA Match"

they gonna know how to approach the best boxer in the world smh wtf even in ankle pick floyd can just punch her on the ground she would be asleep dude she wouldn't stand a chance

Strikes to the back of the head are illegal in MMA under the unified rules. And once Rousey has her head to his body, Floyd will have zero punching power.

And the fight would take place at 135 regardless since Floyd has already fought at 135. Can you imagine the reaction if Floyd asked for a catch weight?

if miesha can do this imagine floyd with MMA GLOVES on for godsakes

with mma gloves on fighting a mma fighter floyd gonna have zero punching power wtf are talking about

Do people actually think she would beat Floyd in a fight? Man oh man what is this world coming to...

yet ronda has no problem hanging with mike tyson...

anyhow, all this talk about ronda or conor fighting floyd is stupid.

With all respect to mike, he has turned his life around. When you consider how he grew up and where, you understand his attitudes. but he has completely turned his life around. Plus, he paid his due. Can't hold grudges.

Once someone has their head to your body, your range of motion is extremely limited. MMA gloves or not, unless you're adept at throwing knees (bad option against a Judoka), or you throw elbows (possible), you're not hitting anyone with power.

Try it, have someone put their head to your mid section or under one of your arms and you can't hit their head with any power. At best you can strike their mid section, and you aren't going to hurt someone like that if they're trained to take hits.

Women can easily kick as hard as a man can punch. Their leg strength isn't THAT far off males, and they can actually have similar levels of core strength. That's why most KO's in WMMA are kicks. So it's not like Floyd is going to throw a punch to the body that's harder than a trained MT kick.

Essentially, any puncher is going to have a very narrow window when the grappler is in motion, especially if they come in low with an ankle pick or single/double, moreso if they can't strike to the back of the head once they are in that range.

If you're a grappler, you're going to try to lock your arms around the other person. You're not going to stand up in a clinch and give space for an effective punch of any kind. It's purely physics.

but she can talk shit about floyd and turn a blind eye to mike's past?

yeah, hypocrisy alive and well.

anyhow, this whole conor vs floyd, ronda vs floyd. Both of those tool belts are not even on floyd's radar. they have other fish to fry.

Why does this stupid debate keep coming up.

so ronda gonna kick as hard as floyd punches she not even going to get to him to lock her arms she will be unconscious even with an inch of space he will ko her talking to you is like this

ZERO PERCENT!?

That's asinine... For everything Floyd lacks in grappling, jiu jitsu etc, he's still the definition of Elite in one discipline of MMA... boxing / striking.

There's even precedent of a Boxer KO'ing a UFC champion rather embarrassingly... Tim Sylvia vs 50 year old Ray Mercer. Even in the Couture vs Toney fight... Couture was so scared of Toney's hands... he took the lowest single leg dive I've ever seen and then worked toward a submission. But that's still man vs man.

Floyd is a top athlete. He would be the taller, heavier, faster, stronger fighter. He would be in 4 oz gloves, and the fight starts standing. Rousey may be an excellent judoka / arm bar practicioner but she is not an amazing wrestler... She has not shown an ability to shoot singles or nail power doubles and Floyd would only have to utilize his excellent movement and that sublime jab to prevent her from closing distance into the clinch.

If Rousey were to get a take down and gain dominant position, ok, fine... she probably could win, but literally every moment before that happens, she's at a MASSIVE disadvantage. And there are many examples of strikers lasting long enough to blast submission speciaists long before they ever get a chance to take it to the ground.

If Rousey took anything close to the approach she did against Corriea... she's knocked unconcious inside the first minute. While I'd give Rousey a chance to win if she secured a takedown... I'd favor Floyd more times than not... and if Floyd is given a couple months to train basic takedown defense, it's not even close.

Probably?

Probably

People seem to forget that people can train to defend the takedown etc.

Give him one years training and he beats most male BW's in an MMA fight let alone Ronda.

Starbrook took up Judo and was beating olympic level competition within a year and he isn't half as talented as Floyd.

lets be real now floyd has 100 million dollars he would hired the best judo coaches in the world to help him him prepare. With 3 months to prepare he would knock ronda out if bethe can land a punch on ronda floyd can

Doesn't need to hire judo coaches. He can fight all his girlfriends for free.
