Media Max Kellerman on Fury/Wilder fight- “No matter who wins, the baddest man on the planet is in UFC”

Stipe lost to Struve 8 yrs ago. Fury almost lost to some no name warm up boxer a few months ago. Can’t blame Stipe for wanting to challenge himself for a big payday on the backend of his career. Fury likes to talk about MMA as well. Not that I think Stipe can take Tyson’s technical & length. But Why not.
Because it makes zero sense is why not, and Stipe in no way deserves a shot against Tyson. Also I do blame him, get off of Fury’s nuts, and keep dreaming of that red-panty night that is never coming.

nothing wrong, out bois just want to earn big bucks, cause ufc ain't paying sheet. that's all.
Should’ve put their lives effort into the sport that pays real money, like Fury/Joshua/Ruiz/Wilder/etc.

"baddest man on the planet" isnt even a fighter, theres a few folks around that have single handidly caused the death of thousands without ever breaking a sweat.....fighters, boxers and soldiers are peons in games played by "titans"

its a silly title but in the spirit of it, there really isnt much question about it and anytime one of these high profile boxers want to get into a cage to prove something, Im sure the ufc can accomodate them

Boxing is the hard sport. You need many years of training, great talent and iron chin to succeed. MMA offers a faster way to start earning money cause the competition is b grade, but you top out much sooner in terms of salary. Most of our mma fighters are amateurs and journeymen who found out about the sport much too late and have full time job and still managed to have great success, take Reyes for example.

How dare these UFC fighters think they have any business getting in a boxing ring with the greatest heavyweight boxer on the planet. Stipe, you got ko’d by Struve and DC, and got knocked down by Alistair. He’s also past his prime and punch-drunk. Ngannou? Fury literally just beat a better version of you, and in no universe would Deontay Wilder lose to Derrick Lewis, or Stipe Miocic.

I’m disgusted that these guys think they deserve sharing the same air as the Gypsy King. Smh, they should just watch in awe as Tyson either beats Deontay again (he’s already beat him twice, once on points and now once by Ko), or soundly beats this washed-up new version of Anthony Joshua.
Dream on, sloppy striking UFC heavyweights.

1. Fighters do what they can do to promote themselves. And some people believe it, unfortunately. Yes, in boxing Ngannou has no chance. Not vs Fury, but vs the top 15 boxers. But some of his fans don't know that. They are that clueless.

2. Wilder would lose to Lewis and Stipe in MMA, most probably. In boxing, he would destroy them. I cannot see Lewis survive more then one round vs Wilder in boxing. Stipe maybe 2-3 rounds, if he runs fast enough.

3. Fury and Wilder also talked about coming to MMA. I can see Fury winning some fights, like Brock did, because he is huge and has amazing boxing. A guy over 2 metres. If he learns some wrestling defense...
But still, without wrestling and/or bjj, it would be very hard for them to win. Wilder gets grappled by Stipe 9 out of 10. We are talkin about 2 different sports.

So what Stipe does, Fury does also. They talk about going to another sport and kick ass.

So ISIS is the baddest man in the world?

It is simple. Many people prefer money over honor and legacy.
And Conor, Stiopic and many other MMA fighters are no exception. They would willingly get KO'ed for guaranteed retirement money.

I always feel this will haunt them in the end.

Wallin was like 18-0 at the time, and hen sustained a cut.

Which champion doe? I don’t see stipe beating jones at hw. And jones loses to izzy at lhw..

Retard. There's a reason steroid boy doesn't want any part oif Stipe. He knows he'll get smoked. Stipe is clearly the baddest man on the planet and he doesn't need steroids to hold that title.

So ISIS is the baddest man in the world?
Im not entirely sure how to address this question but here we go....first ISIS is a group of people not a person and they would fall into the category of soldier....I get that youre trying to be cute with your response but Im not seeing the sense in it

Stipe would beat Fury under most rulesets but still, I just cant bring myself to call Stipe the baddest man on the planet over Fury. The guy is getting paid relative peanuts fighting in a dead division with a much smaller talent pool.

Maybe if this was the early 2010s when HW MMA was on fire relative to to HW boxing you could have realistically given the baddest man on the planet title to the UFC champ (or SF GP winner) but nah, not today. HW MMA is weak right now.

Baddest man on the planet are some military guys.
Second are guys who are trained in many martial arts, who spar and who can do it with no rules at all.
Third are top UFC guys
Fourth are boxers, wrestlers,Judoka and other specialists
But there are exceptions and mma may be a closer approximation of real fighting but still far from it.

Regarding the quote:
Kellerman needs to STFU.

Tyson Furys Dad went to jail for 5 years for gouging out a man's eyeball in a real fight.

So, can Fury with his reach and precision striking gouge Stipes eye first then KO him in a real fight? Yes I think so.

NO, at least not US Military. Anybody who is gifted athletically would have gotten a full ride to college and made milions in the professional sports instead of going into the military. So really special forces in the USA are the best of the rest who weren't good enough to make it in professional sports. Sure there are ex-military contenders every now and then but definitely not the BMFers on earth. It's rare for a SEAL to win a UFC, boxing or even triathlon, team endurance race ... Seals get beat up all the time in San Diego.

Being military doesn't really mean anything as far as H2H combat in the USA.

True. Wilder would get taken down so quick. Or get his legs kicked to death

A street fight would be even worse for a boxer vs an MMA fighter

agreed I’m not sure I even understand the argument, I mean, a street fight isn’t boxing either. People need to understand mma is the closest thing to a fight, not to the death. Boxing has more rules, so less real.

This is a major factor if you're Wilder or Tyson or something but applies way less to 99% of strikers against tough opponents.

Look at world class boxer Caleb Plant here, it's not like every boxer has magic one shot power against untrained individuals. If the other guy was a grappler there is simply no contest here.

Heck even if you are Wilder or Tyson, you will pull off the early KO sometimes but way less than half the time I'd say.

I’m pretty sure Caleb was about 15 here.
