Media Max Kellerman on Fury/Wilder fight- “No matter who wins, the baddest man on the planet is in UFC”

ESPN employee hyping up an endeavor they just became involved with recently.

Shocking...

When I hear people talk about how a boxer with zero kicks, zero knees or elbows, zero clinch game, zero wrestling, and zero ground game will magically knock out any half-decent mixed martial artist in seconds in a street fight, I laugh. Have you muppets never watched UFC 1-10? If not, please go back and do so.

For the record, someone like Stipe or Cormier wouldn't even need to go the ground versus Fury or Wilder. They would simply lift them up and spike them on their fucking head, a move which is illegal in MMA, but highly effective in street fights, especially when the ground isn't nice and padded, but concrete.

Or, if they wanted to, they could simply stand at range and kick them with impunity, something that otherwise worthless mixed martial artist Nobuhiko Takada used to defeat former world heavyweight boxing champion Trevoer Berbick back in the day.

(And I type this as a former amateur boxer myself)

Hard to disagree because boxers only know one thing while MMA fighters can take them to the ground and elbow their face through the back of their head.

So is knocking someone out who's never done any striking, and you don't exactly get to sit down with your coaches and come up with a gameplan for a street fight. Someone who's primarily a striker in MMA is going to punch in a fight with someone they don't know anything about.
Anyone getting into a street fight with Tyson Fury that has MMA training ie wrestling, kickboxing, BJJ & boxing is going to go right for the TD. Its not Rocket Surgery.

Baddest man on the planet are some military guys.
Second are guys who are trained in many martial arts, who spar and who can do it with no rules at all.
Third are top UFC guys
Fourth are boxers, wrestlers,Judoka and other specialists
But there are exceptions and mma may be a closer approximation of real fighting but still far from it.

Regarding the quote:
Kellerman needs to STFU.

Tyson Furys Dad went to jail for 5 years for gouging out a man's eyeball in a real fight.

So, can Fury with his reach and precision striking gouge Stipes eye first then KO him in a real fight? Yes I think so.

Your 1 and 2 are just your fantasy. No one in the military is beating top ufc fighters in a fist fight. My source on this? I was active duty Army for 9 years. Are there some tough guys? Yes. Are they gonna beat pro fighters at fighting? No.

and who are these martial artists who do it all, fighting and sparring with no rules? Is it Ryu from street fighter? Just wandering the globe looking for the next challenge?? Lol

Tim Kennedy satisfies the first three requirements anyway.

I assume he doesn’t mean Stipe. This mumbling statue who drives to Walmart in his ordinary pickup wouldn’t hurt a fly outside the “ring”. Even Mighty Mouse was badder than him, but obviously too small to be the baddest man on earth.
So, because Stipe’s not a dickhead in his personal life he’s not a tough dude? ‘Baddest man’ doesn’t mean you’re out picking on people looking for bar fights, at least not to decent people.

How dare these UFC fighters think they have any business getting in a boxing ring with the greatest heavyweight boxer on the planet. Stipe, you got ko’d by Struve and DC, and got knocked down by Alistair. He’s also past his prime and punch-drunk. Ngannou? Fury literally just beat a better version of you, and in no universe would Deontay Wilder lose to Derrick Lewis, or Stipe Miocic.

I’m disgusted that these guys think they deserve sharing the same air as the Gypsy King. Smh, they should just watch in awe as Tyson either beats Deontay again (he’s already beat him twice, once on points and now once by Ko), or soundly beats this washed-up new version of Anthony Joshua.
Dream on, sloppy striking UFC heavyweights.

Alcohol will beat Gypsy King in the end

They will make a movie about his life based on these last 3 years, him beating klitchko, to partying and ballooning up to 400 pounds, and coming back to beat Wilder twice. Tyson has already cemented his legacy as one of the greatest of all-time. Keep hating. The man is an inspiration to millions.

That’s 30 seconds I’ll never get back.

You’re not a UFC heavyweight, so it’s all good. Nice to see you read the post and didn’t just post the first thing you thought would be funny like a child.

He’s a slippery gypsy.

Stiopic/Ford Escort would have to retire after the fight from CTE.

I hope he will not get back on drinking but Conor with Proper 12 have other plan

nothing wrong, out bois just want to earn big bucks, cause ufc ain't paying sheet. that's all.

Stipe lost to Struve 8 yrs ago. Fury almost lost to some no name warm up boxer a few months ago. Can’t blame Stipe for wanting to challenge himself for a big payday on the backend of his career. Fury likes to talk about MMA as well. Not that I think Stipe can take Tyson’s technical & length. I’d watch.
