If we're playing the "closer approximation to a real fight" game, the "baddest man on the planet" isn't a UFC fighter either. It's probably some armed psycho somewhere. I'm also not convinced that Ngannou or Stipe would pull off some slick submission in a street fight with a top boxer.

Max has been covering boxing for what seems like forever

So its surprising to hear him say this

UFC is the future of combat sports

This is true. But it’s a little embarrassing that Stipe and Francis are both out there cap in hand begging for Fury’s attention.

Baddest man on the planet are some military guys.
Second are guys who are trained in many martial arts, who spar and who can do it with no rules at all.
Third are top UFC guys
Fourth are boxers, wrestlers,Judoka and other specialists
But there are exceptions and mma may be a closer approximation of real fighting but still far from it.

Regarding the quote:
Kellerman needs to STFU.

Tyson Furys Dad went to jail for 5 years for gouging out a man's eyeball in a real fight.

So, can Fury with his reach and precision striking gouge Stipes eye first then KO him in a real fight? Yes I think so.

Luke Thomas just won’t let this go. He’s clearly trying to get Stephen A to clap back at him to boost his profile.

Ariel would be in the background telling Stephen A that whatever he does, don’t give Luke any attention.

Usyk and Loma are the baddest man's on the planet

He is only saying this because ufc is on ESPN. The ufc is not anything like a street fight.

Some of the most prolific serial killers might have had an argument.
But then you have to look at who they killed and their sizes, that would question their level of competition. How many got away, influencing their finishing rate. And their current ages, because they could be out of their prime. It’s very subjective.

Submitting people who have never grappled is actually really easy

I am the Dread Pirate Roberts. There will be no survivors.

I assume he doesn’t mean Stipe. This mumbling statue who drives to Walmart in his ordinary pickup wouldn’t hurt a fly outside the “ring”. Even Mighty Mouse was badder than him, but obviously too small to be the baddest man on earth.

So is knocking someone out who's never done any striking, and you don't exactly get to sit down with your coaches and come up with a gameplan for a street fight. Someone who's primarily a striker in MMA is going to punch in a fight with someone they don't know anything about.
