We all know him for the phenomenal FW that he is. The boxing, distance management, cardio , volume and ability to overwhelm his opponents with all those things.

We also recognize how ridiculous of a chin he has but we rarely discuss how much of a monster Max is in there. He taunts, talks to you, applauds, laughs, and even does wild shit like help Ortega with his technique mid- fight and look at the commentators while schooling Kattar lol.

Truly a blessing to watch the man work.

    No gifs, use imagination

He didn't have to do Kattar like that lol. I rarely feel bad for fighters mid fight. That's one of them.

Max is the type of fighter that is most likely to cause a fatality. The hundreds of shots he's able to land in a 5 round fight can end up being far more consequential than getting iced with 1 shot.

You're right. This is the first I'm hearing about the Ortega incident or the Kattar fight.

    Good looks, bud.

Probably due to his lack of power. Being able to land a few hundred shots and not put a guy down is way less impressive than flatlining a guy with one shot. It makes for a less impressive highlight reel also

That fight is as relevant as McGregor vs Duffy.

Max should’ve won that Bermudez fight. That’s besides the point though lol

Only fighter below Welterweight to ever survive The Notorious One for all five rounds. Just incredible resilience and durability.

He's also lost most of his fights from not being savage enough though.

How far back you have to go to find Conor highlights that they were not using Reebok, and we are now in the Venum era...yikes, i would love to see a rematch tho.

No that's not how it works. If it's power punchers punching someone with a solid chin that won't go down are the issues in boxing. Volume strikers aren't the issues in boxing. None of Max's opponents who he had savage beatings on were negatively affected physically after those fights. They recovered and even became a better version of themselves after. Compare that to what happened to Ferguson after Gaethje. It's a lot of volume, but most of the damage is just superficial with cuts, bruising, and swelling.
