Okay so i was watching this highlight video of all his ko/tkos in the UFC. And yes he got a very entertaining fighting style. He is a legit badass.

But you cant help wonder how much this may have cost him. His defense is all right when he uses it. But every ko have come from him biting down on his mouthpiece and just breaking other fighters. Using a solid chin, endless cardio, and very good striking.

But he get hit alot in most of his fights. Hell he got hit full force by a fresh aldo in both fights. That guy hits HARD.

Now that he got some issues.. Kinda feel bad for him.

Most people fight like they spar. Most pro fighters do sparring three days a week the whole training camp. So if he do this kind of sparring ten rounds, three days a week, for many weeks..

Then a brutal weight cut before again doing the 4 oz dance..

I dont know man.

I hope it is a bad weightcut and not CTE, because he can definetely have CTE from all those hits he caught with his head. He won both Aldo fights via superior chin and cardio, but he was getting hit A LOT.

One of my all time favorites. 100% respect for this man. Has brought unreal fights to the screen and the record speaks for itself. Hoping for a full recovery.

He will be okay if he stops now. Over a 1 year period the brain heals a lot. I hope he retires before he does very serious damage

Technically brain cells are one of the few that never heal. I understand what you mean though.

I've noticed something similar with Max even going back to the Akira Corrisani fight. He has good striking but generally wins a lot of fights by outchinning his opponent and pressuring them until they fade. Not conducive for a long career at all.

Max is a straight up fighter. Unfortunately that sometimes comes with a price..

#4 Sorry I can't find a better reference, too lazy.

Max will never be the same after those Aldo fights.

I hope he recovers 100%. He’s a good dude.

weight cutting is bad for your brain, that's why Mayweather finished McGregor so easily even he didn't land anything hard
