Not exactly. Here's what happened. In 1998, Max was charged by the city of Los Angeles with production of child pornography and distribution of obscenity because an adult actress named Regan Starr who was 22 or 21 at the time of production, said that she was "12 and a half years old" during a scene. In 2002, the US Supreme Court ruled this was unconstitutional, so the child porn charges were dropped, but the obscenity charge stayed and there was a hung jury. Prosecutors added an additional obscenity charge and there was another hung jury.

In October 2005, Max's mansion was raided by federal agents from the FBI. One of them accidentally discharged his weapon into the floor of an upstairs office while Max's maid was being detained directly below him, but luckily no one was hurt. In 2007, Max was indicted by the Department of Justice for obscenity, specifically for fisting, urination and vomiting. He was convicted in June 2008 and sentenced to 46 months. He started serving his sentence in January 2009 and served 31 months in prison, being released in July 2011. So technically, they got him for regular obscenity not for the ageplay stuff (which isn't illegal in and of itself).

that guy broke so many young women. in his heyday, all the women he worked with became drug addicts, prostitutes, suicidal. he had a real knack for convincing ordinary women, with no histories or problems into doing some of the most vile shit possible. the kind of guy to pick your little sister up at a bus stop after she runs away, and have her eating scat two days later on a VHS box cover. he destroyed a lot of lives.

Can't say I want to put his name into a search engine but he does sound like an example of what I'd view as the worst thing about the porn industry on a production level. When your make something highly taboo, often boardline illegal and mostly unregulated your generally opening the door to scummy people to get involved with it exploiting others.

My theory why lesbian pornography has spread like crazy is actually not just because its "more of what your attracted to" for straight men but because its more untainted by this kind of thing. The real shift with the rise of net porn IMHO is actually that more "normal" people have ended up watching it far more, when people were having to buy it from sex shops or the like I'd guess a higher percentage of viewers were attracted to this kind of thing.

I think the difference is probably these new guys actually sonewhat go over what is going to happen beforehand. Max basicallt didn't. There was no pre-summary of what was to come. Mind you, I've never watched more than a few minutes of one of his vids. They're garbage, but I susoect that's the crux of it. That and him basically trapping lone women in the jmmiddle of nobwhere and not letting them quit. Lefit think he raped a few of them. He's filth and surely hates women.
