A lot of noobs don't realize this, but Serra is a super legit BJJ black belt, and he is one of the lots of famous black belts to say Conor's ground game isn't as bad as you guys say. Danis and Edgy Brah also say Conor has an underrated grappling game.
Conor did better than both MJ and Poirier on the ground. he neutralized Khabib's insane GnP for a round. That's not easy.
Right. But he still isn't going to be able to beat Nate, Khabib or Cowboy on the ground. He'd likely get tapped every time. He is not bad but he can't keep up with that.
I mean, most of the weirdos on here hate Conor as both a fighter and a person, so it doesn't matter if it's actually underrated or not. But yes, as someone who watches fighting, and doesn't let real life bias their view of fighters, I think he is not as bad (in the 1st couple rounds) as most people think. IMO
Every time discussions about Conor's supposedly poor ground game comes up, it's funny how people try and avoid discussing the Brandao fight like it's the plague. Oh, you mean that time he grappled with a 2nd degree BJJ BB with ease DOESN'T support your narrative??? Well, better not discuss that fight!
nahh but i think he's on coke. I'm also a fan of Vitor but do notice he folds when things aren't going his way.
So you meant, him and millions of people have a lot in common. Unless Vitor is a coke head, which I was unaware of.
oh ffs I was being mildly amusing. Have a little fun. Millions of us aren't in a cage either. It's an interesting specualtion.
No its his cardio. He showed heart in the Mendes fight, Nate 2, Floyd, and even in his Khabib fight. When his cardio is sapped he gasses really hard. Some fighters are better at hiding it and pacing themselves than others. 4th round of Nate 2 was the best example of his heart.
Conor's ground really is not so bad as i thought before his fight with Khabib. He demonstrated some skills in these game
