Matt Brown: CM Punk p***ied out, he aint no fighter...

This is what a true fighter thinks about someone who had a pillowed path into the UFC, even punk fans have to concede that after the Gall fight he looked like a deer in headlights at the thought of facing someone who just destroyed another so-called fighter. I respect Punk for having the balls to even consider doing this at this stage of his life but I would have much preferred he went about things the right way and sought out some minor shows to get a feel for it, not use his popularity to get fast tracked into the big league completely unproven.
This. What CM Punk should have done is this. HE'S been training MMA now full time for 2 years now. Or almost 2 years. And has trained in it off and on for probably 5 or 6 years. After 1 year of serious training. He should have had his first pro MMA fight in a regional small mma promotion. Just to get a feel on how it is. I would say even get a couple fights in a few small mma promotions. Then if CM Punk were to come into the UFC with 2 mma fights and video tape of his fights. It wouldn't have been such a joke. But CM Punk was smart business wise. Because he put the feelers out there that he wanted to try mma publicly. He cast his fishing line. And UFC knowing that Punk is an established Star saw dollar signs. Signed him for ridiculous cash. Because if Punk had a couple of regional mma show fights. He wouldn't have been paid no more than 1 or 2k per fight.

He should have taken a fight right away in a smaller promotion. At least one fight would be better than being 0-0 and in the UFC.

I don't think someone as tough as Brown needs to be declaring that the WWE wrestler pussied out. Punk, himself, knows he couldn't cut it in the UFC. Yes, he's being given the royal treatment, but he will not be around long-term. I predict anywhere from zero to two fights. This is a bucket-list endeavor. Brown shouldn't feel the need/desire to shit on the pro-wrestler.

Anyway, CM Punk doesn't seem reliable. Too many roadblocks, regardless of whether they're physical, technical, or psychological. But I do believe he would like to fight at least once. At this point, I will only believe it on fight night.

Brown is just jealous he doesn't have the kicks of CM punk

Matt Brown speaks truth. You need a few years to get ready to do something in this sport.

There's a reason why he didn't though. Most likely CM Punk is gonna be 1 and done. And on the regional circuit. Being 1 and done he gets paid maybe 2k. Where as being 1 and done in the UFC as a Co main event on ppv. He probably makes 500k.

The worm of doubt is strong in Phil Brooks.

Maybe he has a worm infektion in his lower spine. I mean thats great news, if the surgeon can catch the worm of doubt Brooks will relax fearless in the
locker room up to his fight and even surpass Brown easily in warrior spirit.

With that mentality he should instantly fight someone like Brown. Gall is just to easy a fight for wormless Brooks.

It's the title of the article, but it doesn't really represent the conversation. He just threw that out right when the topic of Punk came up. Everything after was understanding of how legit his injury was.

That's true. He seemed to go out of his way to empathize after that strong opening lol. But, in the end, he came back to how difficult it is to actually go through with a fight.

Don't get me wrong; I'm a huge Brown fan and I LOVED hearing that whole "locker room" speech, regardless of the context. But I just think it's beneath him to take a shot at the guy publicly.

Where in that quote does it say anything about CM pussying out?

Punk is signing up to fight I dont get why matt is being so harsh he thinks too highly of fighters.

He says the guy in the other dressing room is " fucking trying to murder you "... A bit fuckin much.

To be fair, Brooks hasn't been flashy at all this whole time so I'm not sure what Matt was expecting with "all of a sudden he's humble". He's been quiet and humble about the whole thing, other than taking the fight obviously.

Pro wrestling <<<< MMA

Doing acrobatic moves is cool n shit, but it ain't remotely as real or violent as getting punched, kicked, kneed , elbowed, choked, and limbs broken.

Punk had a revelation when he signed on the MMA dotted line:

I'd rather have 30 professional fights over 10 years rather than 10 years of pro wrestling.
Any logical person would prefer doing MMA. Much easier on the body. Less grueling overall

Pro Wrestling is pre determined and scripted and is written immaturely. Yes. But the amount of toughness needed for Pro Wrestling is something you don't understand

I'm pretty sure I read the article and the TS is paraphrasing poorly. Matt had some strong words and all but I actually thought he was speaking from the hip. Nothing too bad.

Now I dont need to double check TS.
Thank you kind sire and may I nipple them ears?

CM Punk is in the UFC because he has the following of a 20-0 MMA fighter. This is about one big PPV and potentially making a star of Gall. Millions will be made.

How dare you Brown? How dare you sir? Punk had very bad staph throat, that's why he tapped...oh wait, that was Sage.

So butt hurt. Only other WWE star to come to UFC won the title in his 3rd UFC fight LOL. It's obviously not that hard of a sport then if these fake fighters can do that

cm punk via tombstone piledriver, or whatever he does
