Some nice KO's tonight. Penner and Donovan getting Fight of the Night was surprising. And it's weird to see how far Sot has fallen. Dude used to be a contender and now he's just gotten picked apart standing three times straight. No discredit to Pearson. Pearson looked good and has always been a good lightweight. He has a good win over Siver and I believe he beat Barboza.

    Ross Pearson vs. Yves Edwards
    George Sotiropoulos vs. Tiequan Zhang
    Robert Whittaker vs. Sean Pierson
    Brad Scott vs. Stephen Thompson
    Norman Parke vs. John Makdessi
    Colin Fletcher vs. Mitche Clarke
Hector Lombard vs. Chris Weidman or winner of Belfort/Bisping
    Rousimar Palhares vs. Tom Lawlor
    Chad Mendes vs. Mike Brown
Joey Beltran vs. Thiago Silva (Beltran called him out)
Mike Pierce vs. winner of Pyle/Head (who else is there? He's already fought Koscheck, Fitch, and Hendricks. Maia, Condit, Rory and Kim are all already tied up also)
    Ben Alloway vs. Sergio Moraes
    Mike Wilkinson vs. Jon Tuck
    Cody Donovan vs. Stainslav Nedkov

I like your matchups. I don't think I have anything to add, but good job TS.

Lombard vs Bisping unless he pulls off a huge upset and beats Vitor, then he will most likely get Anderson now that GSP is fighting Diaz.

Wouldn't mind seeing Pearson vs Guillard/Varner winner

Hector Lombard vs. Vitor Belfort/Michael Bisping winner is the one I anticipate the most.

Lombard was awesome tonight. I really look forward to seeing if he can overshadow his sloppy loss versus Boetsch a series of great performances.

It wasn't funny the first time. Knock it off.

    Gave me a chuckle too.

  12. Wow; I haven't been on this site in a minute.

    Pearson vs Makdessk
Sots vs Bocek (just for the grappling, Bocek probably deserves better)
I like your matchups for the finalists, but I want Parke vs Tuck
    Lombard vs Belcher/Okami
Palhares vs Carmont (Carmont and Lawlor both lost their fight, but Carmont needs the step up in competition, though I like the Lawlor matchup too)
    Mendez vs Dias (take-two)
    Beltran vs Diabate/Manuwa
    Igor vs Diabate/Manuwa loser
    Pierce vs Ellenberger
    Bacynzski vs Paulo Thiago

  13. This is the first thread I've looked at in about a year and at first I was like "shit that Brock vs Fedor fight is still getting talked about!?" then I saw the other troll/joke posts and realized I was home <3

Haha thx for the replies guys. Even the trolls cuz I be trolling too sometimes. Who do you guys think Mike Pierce should fight though? Dude has already been in there with three of the top guys in Fitch, Koscheck and Hendricks and lost all of them (even though some of those decision could be disputed).

*I only do these types of pointless threads because sometimes I feel like I'm a better matchmaker then Joe Silva.:)

  15. I always feel like I'm better than Joe Silva too haha.

Pierce has proven that he can hang with the best (His fights with Fitch/Hendricks were razor close, and I felt that he beat Kos) so he should fight some near-top flight competition (considering those are the only fights left for him that are remotely interesting or competitive.) I think he should either scrap with Jake Ellenberger (I mean he's fought every other stocky wrestle-boxer already anyway) or the winner of Silva/Heiron. The latter fight gives me pause, only because I imagine the UFC doesn't want to toss Erik to another shark-wolf-snake of a wrestler.
