Brunson vs Jared, so we don't have to watch Derek against Izzy or Robert again but if he wins then maybe he really has a chance

The only way I think Brunson/Cannonier goes down is if Whittaker beats Izzy. They'll probably be doing an immediate trilogy if that happens, and that would be a long time for Derek to sit on the shelf at his age. Conversely, Cannonier wants to stay active, and I think he'll face the winner of Vettori/Costa. If he wins that fight, he won't have to beat anyone for a title shot.

In the post-fight interview, Derek said that while the fight isn't off the table, he isn't particularly interested in it. If Brunson had eeked out a decision today, I'd be all for it. With that being said, even though he has an L to Izzy, Romero and Costa got title shots off of far less than a five fight win streak over ranked (or ranked at the time) opposition which includes finishes over two guys who were in the top 10 when they got in the cage with Derek.

I didn't mean to step on anyone's toes. Usually when the thread is up, I always post my matches too. When I saw it wasn't. I figured I'd just get the ball rolling for everyone.
