Yeah, Royler apparently had the best technical BJJ out of his brothers but never weighed more than 155 lbs. Ze' Mario fought MMA at one point at heavy weight so it gives you some insight to the weight disparity between the two.
I believe Mario finished Royler with a Gi-choke.

I love watching the Zen master but truth be told he SHOULD fight someone from the Gracie clan close to his weight. More often than not when you have two high-level grapplers with the same skill, the larger man should win. (I know that maia beat Gonzaga and Almeida beat Barnett but more often than not the larger man will win)

weight difference is pretty gross. historic nonetheless I guess but man that weight difference is ridiculous.
Mario Sperry beat Royler with a clock choke. Sperry shows you how to set this exact sequence up in his early instructionals.
I agree, but I'm not sure if any Gracie's were that size during that time. In 1998, Renzo would have been close to Sperry's size, but Renzo was in the US and retired from GI competition already.
The only other "Gracie" that would have been active and was close Sperry's size would have been Rigan Machado.

What about Rickson? How big is/was he? He always looks big in his pictures, but I don't have a clue how big he really is.
Rickson was retired from BJJ competition at that point.
Rickson is actually not that big, I would say he is like ~5'9" 180lbs , Sperry is ~6'1" 210lbs.
