Conor struggled against a far worse 170. Masvidal even said it himself he just sees dollar signs. Conor doesn't have a way to get Masvidal out of there, he's screwed.
That "far worse" 170 also has some of the best boxing in mma, an iron chin, great cardio, long reach. And size on both of them.
People sleep on Nate. Just like Masvidal, Nate showed in his last few fights that he's not the same guy that lost to Bendo. Fighters evolve
Jorge would have his hands full with Nate at 170. Imo that's a VERY winnable fight for him.
In regards to Conor, it all depends which version shows up. If it's the one tha fought Eddie, I see him as the superior striker to Jorge and I think he'd capitalize on the moments that Till failed to. Could be a tough fight down the stretch but I don't think there are a ton of fighters capable of implementing the pressure Diaz can. The whole thing with fighting a Diaz brother is you need to constantly move and create space. You can't let them get close range, up against the cage where their volume and combinations take over. Constantly moving to create space like that, especially against a bigger fighter is incredibly taxing.
Conversely Jorge fights exclusively at range, so I wouldn't see Conor having the same issues with conditioning through 5 that He did against Nate. Conor tends to excel at the chess match, where his reflexes, footwork, head movement and countering ability shine along with his strong technical boxing ability, precision, etc.
If that version of Conor showed up, I'd like him in that fight. If it was current Conor.. Prob lean toward Jorge. Hungrier, peaking, wants it more. It all depends
