Masvidal/Khabilov decision?

Ok I know I'm a little late, but I just now watched the ufn on TiVo, and I was surprised at how quiet it was in here with regards to the Masvidal/Khabilov decision. I thought Masvidal was robbed, I thought he clearly won the first two rounds, and the 2 judges that scored it 30-27 are blind, what did you guys think of this decision? Did you think Masvidal was robbed?

A few people mentioned it but most thought it was the right call.

I thought Khabilov took all three rounds but I'm not impartial.

I saw it 29-28 Khabilov. He took the first with some solid right hands and sealed the third (and the fight) with the wheel kick to Masvidal's neck.

If not for the knockdown, Masvidal might have had it. He was the better, more effective fighter for the majority of the fight.
And yeah: 30-27 was idiotic.

I'd score it 29-28 Masvidal or a 29-29 draw. It was an extremely close fight. Could have gone either way, really.

in all honesty, the first 2 rounds i had for masvidal but could of gone either way. the knockdown in the last round makes khabilov the winner in my book if you judge the fight as a whole rather than by points. so glad he got the decision

It definitely wasn't a robbery. If anything it was a solid 29-28.

But he lost round 1, so how does a kick in round 3 change the scoring of round 1?

I'm a masvidal fan, so I had the bias to score the fight for him naturally. I had 29-28 did him.

Can't deny that khabilov won the battle though.

the kick was definitely the difference in the fight though i think that kind of put an exclamation point on the fight for khabilov, thats why there wasnt much qq about the decision

Round 1 was the closest, I had it 10-9 Khabilov because he was just more active. He didn't land much, but he seemed to be pushing the pace and throw much more.

Round 2 was all Masvidal.

Round 3 was close but the kick sealed it.

29-28.

I remember being sure that Khabilov won the fight when it was done. I think he won 1 and 3 iirc.

I didn't really have a winner the first time i watched it, but i watched it again and thought Masvidal had it, barely.

I had it 29-28 Khabilov. I didn't see rastum winning the first round.

I was waiting for this thread, Masvidal had it 29-28...it makes me wonder if someone was whispering in the judges ears on this one.

29-28 Khablilov, for sure.

yep. round one khabilov landed the most significant shots, and he took masvidal down. Best thin masvidal did was attempt a flying knee ( which was caught) and defend some of khabilovs grappling.

round two could have gone either way


Round three was the most one sided round, khabilov won it.
