If Masvidal KOs Usman he could then challange Conor again but this time with 170 and BMF belts both on the line. This is the type of fight that might get Conor to come back from retirement and make MMA exciting again.

Could he? Absolutely.

Will he though? ugh not likely.

He'll get a rematch though probably and will have a better shot.

Conor already had a chance to fight masvidal, he dont want that smoke

Not too mention he had papa Dana come out and say Mas is too big for him already

I sincerely doubt Conor comes back, he just needs to focus on something else now like he should have after the Mayweather fight like go into acting or something.

Its not the same to fight the journeyman who hasnt won anything, to fight the same journeyman, who happens to have a fake belt, and a real one on top of that, even if Dana said he is too big, that might not matter then when it comes to a big payday.

2 belts at once at 2 weightclasses above his natural weight would be unmatchable feat for the GOAT rankings and the fight could break the PPV Record.
No doubt he takes the fight if the money is right the guy is crazy.

He should just spam groin kick sprints* - doesn't matter if ref takes points away, he's not winning the decision.

Work that groin then let those hands loose and walk away as champ.

Just rewatched this fight, then he gets dropped right after. Imagine If that hit would of put him out. Coming off a 20 second loss where his only strike was a nut kick. No Askren KO no BMF fight/payday and no title shot. Crazy how it all played out.

cherry picking fight is not a goat achievement. Conor has this luxury any other fighters have not.

But at the end of the day, never defending belt hurt his legacy, plus the fact that he got subbed too many times, and is obviously not the best fighter of his era ...

Plus it doesn't give a good luck to ignore Usman's TS offer ( which is obvious duck btw ... ), but accept Masvidal one ...

I don't think he will get a rematch, agreed with you until that point. I don't know why people think he's bound to get a rematch. Here is why I think that:

1. Do you see this fight, specifically Usman-Masivdal pulling big numbers on their own? We can't tell due to 3 title fights and a big card, but to strip it down I'm essentially asking - Is Masvidal even a draw?

2. Why would they want to pay Masvidal big money per fight after he loses this title fight if he isn't a huge draw. The UFC's modus operandi is to cut guys making big money who aren't draws, aka guys who aren't more than earning it...generally.

3. His best win is Till. So in terms of pure merit or even justifiable merit, I just don't he's good enough to beat elite WWs (Covington, Woodley, Burns probably,). Can he even beat Thompson/Edwards? He lost to Maia already. Jorge isn't bad, but he isn't elite imo. He is fortunate to get this title shot.

In less words: I don't think Masvidal is really that good and I don't think he's even that much of a draw.

Maybe he's a bigger draw than I think. Maybe his Diaz fight, the goofy belt + the Rock there + ESPN features and some Youtube have made him into a decent draw. Even then, idk. I don't necessarily see it.

Winning belt in 3 different weight classes would be greatest achievement by any fighter to have ever lived expecially if its with a spectacular KO like the first 2.

no it isn't, I already explained why on my former post, u didn't gave new argument to show why i am wrong, I conclude that u agree with me then.

He's definitely a draw. You see him in interviews and on ESPN and shit all the time.

I agree, I don't think he is elite (very good though), but he is certainly one of the most well known fighters in the UFC these days. Like you said, The Rock and the fake belt with Diaz elevated him.

Conor will not win another title, especially at ww

You bums never learn lol

I agree with both of you actually, while disagreeing with both of you if that makes any sense.

It is and it isn't.

It would be the greatest achievement in the history of the UFC by default, no one has ever done that. No one has won a title across 3 divisions.

But it also in reality and context wouldn't be because McGregor would essentially be gifted a title shot against the weakest / most winnable opponent possible at 170 for no real, merit based reason.

I definitely think him beating Alvarez was totally legit. I'm sure you disagree, but he dominated 145, dethroned a GOAT, and was a huge draw. RDA dropped out, he split with Diaz at 170 (a LW/WW tweener) after coming straight from FW. Then he destroyed Alvarez, who was a legit champ and a wrestler, we can't revise history to say that was an easy match-up.

If Masvidal wins, he would legit be champ as well. But McGregor really has no claim to fight at 170 for a title, it would be purely on popularity/$$$ and based on one win over a ~top 10 guy who is also a LW/WW tweener (Cerrone) but was competing as a LW. However, the arguments were that McGregor doesn't deserve a LW win based off that from many...so it would also be ironically hypocritical.
