I could have used Switzerland as an example of tons of guns, little shooting. Or better yet Israel. They are all armed and hardly ever shoot fellow Israelis

This is the norm and acceptable by most in this country. It used to be that appeals to law and order, or bringing up the danger of crime was a sure fire political winner but these days it rings hollow now that people accept it as normal for folks to be murdered in public spaces by strangers and the like. So shit like graffiti, busted window and all that is small potatoes for people who have accepted they might be blown away watching a concert, seeing a movie or shopping for toilet paper.

If you take away a segment of society, our gun crime stats rival any European nation.

look at Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire. Full of guns. Look at North Dakota, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.

Now go to any Democratic city. There will be parts of them where the shootings are daily occurrences.

No party has addressed mental health in this country. It’s like it’s not even an issue....these shootings, homeless problem, drug and alcohol abuse, suicides, all have roots in it, We keep letting thousands of folks in at the borders but we do nothing to help the people already here. Instead of spending millions there how about a system of help for our mentally ill?

So why are Americans such terrible people? What is inherently wrong with US society such that we have much more criminality than both more liberal and conservative countries. We are doing something wrong.

I mean their comfort. Like their lodging. Like the food they get. Like access to amenities like television.

as for society, what we are doing wrong is giving a accepting single solitary ounce of an excuse for criminal behavior.

One could argue mass shootings are on the rise. Nothing wrong with mass incarceration for the criminals but know they criminals have more power than the police and the law abiding citizens and droves of fools cheer it on as progression. With the changes to laws, bail and lack of arrest for criminals on certain crimes things are just going to get worse.

Generations of paying people to have kids out of wedlock. A culture that canonizes criminals and uses "pimp" and "gangsta" as compliments probably isn't helping either.
