Congrats to Edson Carvalho Brown Belt Mark Ramos.he won the under 66kg trials yesterday in NJ.He won the No Gi worlds a couple weeks ago. Also Vagner Rocha came up from FL to win also.Great day of grappling yesterday

Anyone know the brackets or have they been posted? I want to know what happened to JT.

Both men were on great! Mark is the guy who beat me in the finals! Very tough guy, I hope he does great at the ADCC worlds! I couldn't see some of his matches (I was competing too). How did they go?

Vagner was totally awesome yesterday as well. He won all his matches by submission IIRC!!! Domination!

JT had 2 wars on the tatami!!! The second bout almost seemed like a fight. Although JT won the scrap, his ear swelled up afterward. The cauliflower ear was so bad that doctor wouldn't let him continue.

JT had to drop out.His ear swelled up and the doctor made him withdraw. In my opinion grappler of the day had to be Vagner. He ran through people all day.I couldnt believe how easy he beat Brian McLaughlin. Vagner was matched up to face JT in the semi's.

Ramos is really good beat one of my teammates in the finals of a pro division pretty handily, and my teammate is pretty good. When I've seen him grapple he's showed a very well rounded game mixing in great judo and wrestling with a equally good ground game.

I've never had someone my size dominate me like that, it was very embarassing. The only saving grace was that beat the next guy almost as easily. Vagner is on another level

Its a pyramid. He embarrasses you even though you are damn good, you embarrass a bunch of other guys who are still pretty damn good, they embarrass a bunch of other guys. Until you get down to the people that embarrass me, who aren't very good.

hey guys, so the 5 guys who won their weight class are going to adcc? or how does this work? i know theres adcc trials and adcc pro...little confused. thanks.

The winners of these trials go on to the World Championships in 2011.So its a bittersweet win.You get to go to the big show but then you have to face the best grapplers in the world.Mark Ramos will be competing in the ADCC Worlds as a brown belt.

That's going to be a pretty amazing division in 2011. Ramos is very very good and that division was full of amazing Grapplers in 09. Man, I can't wait to see the trials videos!

who else is in that division? Marcelo,Cobrina, I think Popavich and Ryan Hall are heavier?

Mark Ramos is the man.He has only been training for 4 years. But he is at the dojo EVERY day. Very dedicated guy.Remember his name cause you will see him doing big things in the future

You're all over the place there. Marcelo and Popovitch are in the same weight, and are heavier than Cobrinha and Hall, who are in the lowest division, and I think that's the division that Mark Ramos will be in. There's no easy division in ADCC.

Im suprised cause at the Trials over the weekend Marcelo looked small and Ryan Hall looked bigger. But regardless of the weight division there are nothing but studs and dream matchups there.

Mendes, hall, cobrinha, glover, curran, all in -66k in 2009. Popovitch, Garcia, cocco, Gracie were next one up -76 I think

So Popovitch might get matched up his head instructor Vagner Rocha who won the 76 kilo division this weekend

Not sure, but I thought I read an interview with Pablo stating that he was moving up a weight class since ADCC no longer will allow weigh ins the day before.
