Mark Munoz Plans to Continue Fighting Despite Recent Struggles

Well ok, just stop asking why you aren't getting title shots.

CB vs Rockhold.
Munoz vs Le.

I thought immediately after the loss that he might choose to retire. It looked like after he couldn't take Mousasi down he had no idea what to do in there and looked really uninspired and unmotivated to be there. Also it seems his gym is starting to gain a reputation a quality place to hone your skills and I think he would make a great coach for the next generation of fighters is chose to do so.

No offense to the TS, im actually glad to hear this news, but I feel like the reaction to a headline like this should be obvious, expected, etc. The guy makes good money fighting and he gets to make use of a skill he devoted his entire life to building, why wouldnt he continue fighting. The writers on Bloodyelbow are always calling for guys to retire and it just pisses me off and makes them look like little kids. Like guys have an infinite number of ways to make a living. "so u lost 3 out of your last 5? Man you should retire your not getting any better...." Its just ridiculous. Good for Mark Il be looking out for his next fight.

I would love to see Munoz and Dollaway fight again.

I still think Munoz would win though. He's a bad matchup for Dollaway.

Munoz still makes a great gatekeeper. He can beat most of the division, maybe just not the top 10 guys.

I don't understand why he'd even consider stopping. He got best by two top-10 fighters, one is fighting for the title in his next fight.

Mark Munoz was still ranked in the top-10 and still will be in the top-15.

I have no idea why anyone would ever say he should stop fighting, if people stopped after the first sign of adversity guys like Matt Brown and Hunt would have retired years ago. Let alone if people retired after two losses in a row lol that's just retarded.

There are still plenty of fights for him but he needs a step down in competition. He was horribly overrated after the Maia fight. At no point in time should he have ever been ranked top 3. Good fighter but he can't hang with the elite. Matching him up with beasts like Machida and Mousasi (fights where everyone knew going in he was going to get slaughtered) does him no favors.

i'm kind of puzzled as to why munoz has been struggling. it seems that he's training with some of the best, and i always hear that he's a very hard worker in the gym. could he make 170? it would be interesting to see him there.

After hearing how he got really depressed after his injury and ballooned up to 265 it makes me wonder if he is kind of an emotional guy. Total shot in the dark guess, but maybe the emotional toll from his losses just keeps adding up and killing his motivation.

Either way he seems like a cool guy. Hopefully things go well for him.

he should go run bellators mdw division, dont see him beating many ppl in the ufc
