If LHW has a title fight with a contender coming off of a loss and 2-2 in last 4,
WW has a title fight with the contender coming off of a loss,
FW has a title fight with the contender coming off back to back losses and being 1-2-1 in his last 4 and never fought in the division before.....

Then Munoz pretty much deserves the next shot at Anderson.
 
He did some media thing prior to UFC 140 (this would be months before he got smashed by Weidman), and said that he's good friends with Anderson and can't wait for him to retire because he doesn't want to fight him.
 
Now that he has no chance at a shot he wants to buddy-up again. What a phony
 
He is a great fighter but to me it seems like he just can't break through to that next level. He has been knocked out a few times and he was almost knocked out by Maia, so I am not sure how good his chin really is. And the fact that he has gotten rocked by Maia gives me no faith in his chances against Anderson Silva anyways. So if he doesn't really want to fight Silva that is fine, because he probably won't be offered the chance and if he did get it I am sure he would get squashed
