I posted a thread last night which got wastelanded, 7mins after, for no constructive reasoning. This constantly happens only to have the same thread pop up minutes later. So here is my thread, and I've quoted the comments, to prove this is a subject worthy of debate, not to waste landed.

Hunt would actually have the cardio edge lol.

Rumble would get Rekt btw.

Rumble would explode with punches. Hunt wouldn't survive that early onslaught.

hunt wins brutally

I think Rumble would knock him out in the 1st. I know Hunt has a good chin, but he has already been knocked out more-so than ever recently (3x in 2 years) and he's not getting any younger.

Anthony Johnson was never guaranteed the title shot at LHW, for all we know, we can have a Jones vs Cormier 3 after April 23rd or the winner could get injured and side-lined for a while.

Rumble solidified his spot in the top 3 LHW's and sooner rather than later vs Jones or Cormier, he will get another shot at that belt. With the current state of LHW & HW divisions, I think this is perfect timing for a different kind of match-up.

Rumble has the power to knock out anybody, from WW-HW. He fought Arlovski at HW, and his lighter weight gives him the edge in speed. Injury free after shattering Ryan Bader, I think a quick move to HW, to stay busy, makes total sense right now. A loss to a HW doesn't change his ranking at LHW, and a win makes his case for a crack at that belt that much better.

Mark Hunt is fresh off another beautiful walk off KO and with the HW title picture looking pretty booked, I think this is a great opportunity to cash-in with fun fights. Hunt is the never back down type of fighter and I can't imagine him refusing an offer to take part in a ''super-fight'' like this.

Johnson vs Hunt would be a perfect edition to the UFC 200 main event. P4P the hardest hitters in their respected division, fights like this is what we need to celebrate the UFC's 200th event. An old school, HW, super-freak show, OG Pride match-up.

Rumble vs The Super Samoan @ UFC 200 make it happen Dana.

Shit would be crazy.

Don't get popcorn, or blink.

AJ is the #1 contender at LHW right now. He should get the winner of Cormier x Jones and possibly gets another holding fight before.

It makes no sense for him to take random fights in the division above him.

mcgregor is the fw champion and is fighting a unranked nate diaz at ww in his next fight

I think Hunt kills Johnson. I think Johnson quits when things don't go his way, and Johnson' ain't Menhoef, and Hunt isn't the same Hunt from back then either.

I'd favour Rumble, DC & Jones over nearly everybody at heavyweight including Werdum.

I doubt AJ would take that fight. After demolishing bader he's in line for a title shot. Beating hunt gets him nothing, and losing takes him out of contention for next shot at the belt. Would be a sick fight for sure, but hunt is much too dangerous for rumble to risk it for very little gain if he wins.

hunt vs loser of jones/dc or vs gustavsen or bader, makes a lot more sense.

McTapsTwice was granted a super fight with the champion above him. As the story goes, RDA was injured and the #5 guy was booked to replace him on short notice. Because of the short notice, they agreed not to cut weight to make 155lbs limit.

Now the biggest money maker in the history of the sport has damaged his brand, and all parties have agreed they can make life changing money going for it a second time.

This is a far cry different. This isn't even in the same universe.

Anthony Johnson is healthy and can fight soon plus he has already beaten Andrei at HW.

Mark Hunt vs Rumble Johnson is the fight we deserve.

Gus vs Hunt at HW makes a lot more sense. Rumble will be fighting for the title in a couple months barring a injury from the champ.

It's such a dumb idea it doesn't really warrant a response, but we're in a slow news week in MMA.

Rumble would literally retire him

You see I don't agree with that, he's in line for a title shot but it was never guaranteed and as we've seen many times in the past, he might wait a while before entering that octagon for a championship fight. A loss at HW does not take him out of title contention at LHW, with the current state of that division, and beating Hunt will prove Anthony as being the hardest hitting motherfucker in the UFC, making Jones quiver in his boots, the oddsmakers bend more on his side and make the general fan base understand that Jones could be sleeping if he faces Johnson.

Rumble would turn into a panic wrestler vs Hunt, just like he did vs Vitor.

I didn't know that I wanted to see this fight but god damn it would be awesome.

Fair point, but it's hard to sell a fight for the belt after a walk off KO from hunt. I'm not saying hunt would win, but he's too dangerous. Just my opinion, rumble doesn't take a fight vs hunt right now.
