I take it most of you have never trained with a female, otherwise this thread wouldn't even exist lmao...

The fact remains of course that except for a rare freakshow fight in Brazil, men and women compete in separate divisions, as do for that matter bantamweights and middleweights. Ronda Rousey is the most dominant champion in the UFC, and one of the biggest stars, and that is good for the sport.

Not apples/apples. Men are, on average, going to be much stronger creatures lb vs lb. I can see a 155lb male grappler having no trouble with a highly decorated 155lb female grappler based off the genetic differences alone. I know strength isn't everything, but it damn sure makes a difference.

It's nice to have fighters confirming things that the people on Sherdog should've already known. Literally any male fighter good enough to get a contract in the UFC would destroy Ronda.

Anybody who has ever competed in combat sports knows that even a top tier girl like Ronda would be absolutely demolished by any man in the UFC, Bellator, WSOF or any profoessional promotion. I think she would probably even have trouble with ammy guys who fight at county fairs, but it would depend on the experience and athleticism of the guys. I have seen guys in local shows that Ronda could probably take, but not many.

I would imagine Cain would say the same thing about rolling with Mighty Mouse. Given that P4P lists exist to consider the relative skillfulness of fighters while ignoring the significant physical advantages, it is not as big a stretch as most of you are making it to include Rousey.

I personally would prefer a separate list for women, but half of Sherdog is in denial about the extensive use of the imagination already necessary to talk about Mighty Mouse being a better fighter than Cain.

i would assume a female medalist in wrestling is not on par with a female medalist in judo.

wrestling is a very new women's sport. i assume the competition isn't as stiff.

and in the US it's much easier to make the men's greco than then men's freestyle team. guys like couture and hendo and lindland never won NCAA titles.
