I don't think people realize that virtually everyone code switches to some degree when interacting with people from within and external to their community (which doesn't even have to be defined along racial/ethnic lines).

This isn't about Harris "pretending" to be Black or Indian - she is both and can be authentically either depending on the contextual circumstances and who is around her.
