Looked to me as if he was still dodging it very effectively. He said in the post fight interview as well that the one punch that did hit him wasn't very hard at all. You see this in many of his fights; he takes less damage than it looks like.

Held displayed great awareness and defence in the transition and caught a very effective submission against what looked to be a bigger, stronger opponent.

THAT's the effectiveness of jiu-jitsu at work
