Looks really clean.

I don't like the USA patch, but the rest of the gi is spiffy.

They probably aren't brazilian either though.

Obviously, Marcelo is a brazilian who teaches in the U.S. It seems weird to me that the brazilian aspect of his gi is A-ok, but not the U.S.

Never really liked "Official" GIs, especially when it comes down to people I don`t train with.

The only thing about this gi that is holding me back is the price. But if it was say $50 cheaper I would be all over it.

because its brazilian jiu jitsu !!!

Hmm, I see what you mean. I am as patriotic as people come, but I can understand some others not necessarily wanting it.

They just have to remember that Lucky Gi is an American brand..therefore it is not out of place to see any American insignia. If you prefer a Canadian product, I'm sure there are suitable alternatives.

I personally, would never want a gi with a Canadian flag, and I lived there for a year and a half....so I can imagine that they do not want one with a flag of the USA.

I don't feel offended by that statement, as I don't want theirs either.

Instead I'm confused...it's like saying I want to buy a Mustang but I dont want the ford logo on it. lol. Lucky has an American flag somewhere on the majority if not all of their gis... It's the brand. Not really much to say about that, it is common sense really.

Nice gi. I may be alone on this but I think the MG logo on the back looked better.

It never really bothered me to being with but I find that the Lucky Gi logo on the back would probably make it more acceptable to wear in certain schools. I know of some schools that only allow gi's with patched affiliated with said school or instructor.

im kinda butthurt at the fact that when i bought one of the first run that this gi was going to be a 1 time limited run and that id have a one of a kind gi but now i check their site and see they made more of the original as well as this one..kinda lame..now i want one of their hawaii lightweight gis tho..DAMN YOU OTM!!!YOURE LIKE CRACK!!!!

Yeah. I remember going into a school like that and they told me this "we only allow gi's of white and blue with only our own school patches. Or you can buy the patch with your instructors name." I promptly told them to get bent and walked out and found a better school.

Pretty sure they did that because the Gi was in such high demand. Also coupled with the fact that he was competing in ADCC as well they figured they could sell them by timing the release with the competition. I also think they probably got a lot of requests for removing the MG logo.
