I know this is only sold in Japan, but has anyone seen it? I have the chance to get one, but my friend said she can get it for like $50.00 (which is supposed to be cheap in Japan) but I don't know if I should get that or something else. Any info will help. Thanks! She found some Shooto DVDs for me for $20.00 which is AWESOME!!!!!!! GO YOSHIMI!!!!!!!!!!

What exactly are you talking about?

That Marcelo Garcia DVD of a seminar he did in Japan, yes I have heard of it! If you like his style, yes go for it. Personally I love anything and everything Marcelo Garcia. People have said it is good, and what's $50 for an instructional? But if its like "Food or Marcelo Garcia?" You may need to take some time off to think about your priorities. But my vote, buy that ASAP.

I guess I'll get it. I guess it'll be another week of chicken breast, spagehetti, and broccoli. : )

Why, can you get it for him? Get me one too. Are you Japanese or something?

All people living in Nihhon are Nihhon-jin = False

Most people living in Nihhon are Nihhon-jin = True

Waxwingslain a Nihhon-jin = maybe

Waxwingslain's avatar = hawt = fact

Waxwingslain = Ok with me = fact

But you = maybe right = possibly

using the equals sign to enhance what we mean = addictive = taking it too far sometimes = fact

you spelled nihon wrong...but you're a really cool poster so I'll let it slide ;)

I have his seminar in Japan, pretty good as I like his style, but 50 dollars...I don

This made me laugh.

I'm English and I live in Japan. I have a Japanese signature although I'm not sure if it will appear if you don't have Japanese fonts installed on your computer. For those of you who can't read it, it's a line from the song Johnny Depp sings in Pirates of the Carribean "A pirate's life for me!".

My attempts at pretending to be Japanese have so far all failed miserably, it must be my accent.

As for being able to get hold of the DVD, it's possible that the local budo shop might stock it. I doubt it'll be any cheaper than you could find it on the net though.

A few questions for you and a comment.

The comment, your engrish?

and the question, where would one go and install japanese fonts? I would really like to see more japanese writing considering i wish to learn the language. Also, a Budo store? That is so freaking awesome. And is it true you have anime characters on the toilet paper advertising for them? I love Japan, and I havn't even went. :D :icon_cry2

I'm an "igirisujin". Some Japanese for you: America is Amerika, France is Furansu and England is Igirisu. Added to that, the term seems to signify both Britain and England (to be fair some English people don't understand the distinction between the two very well either).

This is the site I used to help me install fonts I think.

http://www.declan-software.com/japanese_ime/

Go to this site

http://www.rikai.com/perl/Home.pl

Follow the instructions and you'll be able to browse Japanese sites and look at the language (sort of).

Local budo shop's site:

I have this seminar being a huge MG fan myself.. Little did I kno the whole things in Japanese? What's up with that? Anywaz, I guess it's good, I don't really know, it's in a gym marcelo speaks in purto and his japanese assistant translates. You can pretty much figure out what he's saying from what they're doing but you won't get all the funny jokes he seems to tell.. Just laugh anywayz..

Also includes some cool Competition footage at the end and a super fight. Nice DVD, worth 50? Not to me, but maybe to you. If you don't have his other Inst. gi and no gi get them first, those are solid.

OK, I saw this DVD today for 5,600yen. There were some other Shooto DVDs too for about the same price. So $50 is about right I guess.

Where does your friend pick up such cheap DVDs SS? I check the second hand shops but they mostly just stock Pro-Wrestling stuff.
