Manuwa vs Glover or Bader (if he beats Nog) for next TS?

I would like to see Manuwa welcoming Jon Jones back

Bader vs Gustafsson and Manuwa vs Krylov

Generally speaking, the idea of Manuwa deserving a #1 contender's fight would be absurd. However, the division is in such shambles that it's not out of the question. The division is top heavy, but it is absolutely awful after the top 5. And we can't keep having the top guys rematch each other. So, while a guy like Manuwa should never rightfully get anywhere near a title shot, the sad reality of the division makes it plausible.

The division is in bad shape, and it doesn't look to be improving any time soon.

If Jones has a reduced suspension and is eligible to fight anytime soon, he'll get the winner of Rumble/Cormier. If Rumble beats Cormier, they'll probably set up the trilogy fight immediately.

I agree the division is in bad shape, but what makes Manuwa so bad IYO? He only lost twice, to Rumble and Gus, and just KOed OSP who gave Glover and Bader decent fights.

Just an objective analysis. I tend to root for Jimi because he's an entertaining fighter. However, he's not great at anything, and he has glaring weaknesses. To put it another way, he's a one-dimensional fighter, but he isn't great in that one dimension. He's a good striker (not great, but good), and that's pretty much it. He has no wrestling and no BJJ. He's 36 and his only win of consequence is against OSP, who is also a VERY limited fighter.

Someone with Jimi's skill set wouldn't sniff the top 10 of a better division. But LHW is awful once you get past the top guys. And there doesn't appear to be any young talent on the horizon.
