Manto has had a great reputation for having amazing No Gi products. I had a pair of the Rising Sun shorts but sadly they fell short of expectations and tore at the leg seam after a few months of use and several fights.

Even though I’ve had poor quality before from Manto in their No Gi department, this will be an unbiased review for their “BEZERRA” rash guard.

Design:

The Manto BEZERRA rash guard has the standard Manto logo fading in between yellow and green on the chest and two smaller Manto logos on the collar bone area, and then a pretty cool image of the inner cities in Brazil wrapping from the sides of the rash guard to the back.

The entire rash guard is sublimated so it will never crack or peel. THE DESIGN IS THERE FOREVERRRRRRR.

It’s boasting a longer torso so it won’t ride up and they say it has an improved neck fit as well. A cool feature is how they also faded the stitching all around in different colors. I haven’t seen that done before and in my opinion is pretty sweet.
Rolling Performance/Conclusion:

With the longer torso it doesn’t ride up, even when in the inverted guard or doing the dreaded BERIMBOLO. The neck is cut a bit high for my liking but as soon as I start moving I don’t even notice it. I’ve been using the Bezerra twice a week for maybe a month now and it’s held up great. No little fabric balls all over the material like some rash guards have after a few uses.

The Bezerra is priced around the same price as all rash guards at $54.95 USD. I think all rash guards are overpriced but that’s neither here nor there.

If this were long sleeve it would be my go to rash guard, but that’s just a personal preference of me loving long sleeve more. (germaphobe in Jiu Jitsu, who would’ve thought?)

I would highly recommend this rash guard if you like the design. Even if you don’t like the design I would still recommend you get a Manto rash guard. They have tons of designs that would fit everyone’s taste.

Honestly this is the most important part. The joke is on you if you pay 50+ bucks for a rashguard.

My favorite rashguard is a Manto I bought on a massive discount many years ago (nogi panams leftovers). It lost its good looks faster than anything else I've owned, but it's a great cut and very comfortable.
You know what's almost as good? Stuff like the Everlast and Under Armour rashguards/compression shirts that have been on constant sales around the 7-12 buck level over the years (my guess would be that Eastbay gear fall into the same category). I own a ton of those and they're really nice. The value for the dollar there is crazy compared to what these premium lifestyle brands are trying to get you to pay.

People, please don't throw money at stupidly priced gear.

It's an expensive sport. From the cost of the competitions, shorts are as much as rash guards, gi's are getting ridiculously expensive (luckily the market is saturated right now and we have a ton of great options) even shirts are over priced.

$25 for a regular shirt with a so so design on it?

Eventually it will go down...hopefully.

I own two Manto rashies (orange camo LS and great wave SS) and like them a lot.
Been thinking about picking up the 'Beast' Rashie they do too.

I've used both quite a bit over the last year and a half, they've held up very well, no fading, did a good job resisting blood too.
JIC anyone is trying to size themselves for one, I'm a long-torso'd 6'2'' @ 200ish, large fits me great.

As for a 'real' rashie vs UA/whatever, I use the latter under the gi, the good stuff for nogi.
It's the same as splurging on a flashy gi, just a way to be stylish while doing something you love.

i have the meutra, with the day of the dead skulls.
the only problem i have with it, its that the collar has got loose and kinda wavy, dont know a common problem.

its a long cut, so its nice for my long arms and tourso

My Scramble Be Water rashguard did the same thing.

Some RVDDW rashguards are like $100.00

I had a Manto rashguard once a few years ago, but it started fraying soon after I got it and the collar became loose
