News Manel Kape to Face Zhalgas Zhumagulov on December 4th

'Starboy' (16-6) is back after finally winning his first UFC fight against Jamaican Ode Osbourne, now he draws Kazakh Zhalgas Zhumagulov (14-5).

Zhalgas finds himself in a similar position to Kape, also 1-2 having snapped a two fight losing streak with a win over Jerome Rivera. He had previously lost to Raulian Paiva and Amir Albazi, where Manel lost his first two against Alexandre Pantoja and Matheus Nicolau.

Both guys pretty highly rated and no shame losing to those calibre of opponents, but can't help but think more was expected of Kape after his fun run in Rizin.

Kape is a career 1-4 on decisions, whereas Zhalgas is 6-4 on the scorecards and is pretty tough to finish... interesting stylistic challenge for Manel.

Really? I'd say Kape should be around -200 here. Zhalgas got worked against Albazi.

Kape will likely be the favourite, and rightfully so. But he has a tendency to wait a bit too much, and Zhumagulov is pretty active. I expect it to be a fun fight.

Kape has been sort of a disappointment since entering the UFC. That ko was nice in his last fight, but he missed weight. This is winnable for him, but it won't be easy.
