"Man of Tai Chi" with Keanu Reeves

I see that this Iko Uwais dude has some cult following here and this is the 1st time I'm hearing about him. Can anyone explain the hype to me? @greygoose ?

Do you even Raid bro? I think that's the first thing I saw him in, and decided he was the more violent Tony Jaa that everyone was looking for. And when I mean everyone, I mean just me. Honestly, I don't really know of anyone that keeps up with him other than "oh yeah, the guy in the Raid movies. He was bad ass. Who is he again?"

Tony Jaa >>> Iko Uwais

Iko is very good but hes benefitted from a great director, that Welsh bloke Gareth whatisname who made Raid 1 & 2.

Tony is a better MAtist and more talented all round, but his prime years were over a decade ago.

Uwais is the new kid in town and has a small handful of great films to his name.

Also, pencak silat is a great MA style for the big screen

The kitchen fight scene in Raid 2 is alltime great

Do you like Donnie Yen? If so, see his IMDB, especially see Ip Man 1-3, Flashpoint (armbar).
Flashpoint was the fucking shit. Was that the one where they mixed jitz with their fu?
