Would be a 9 fight winning streak over 1 and a half years. 8 of 9 still pretty good of course, but man it's just too bad.

Hypothetically, but if he had beaten Maia he likely wouldn't have fought Silva tonight.

For sure he would have been right there for the title shot. But taking this fight on short notice and winning right after his streak being broken is pretty sick.

8/9 and not one W against someone who's ever been ranked in the top 15.

If. But the fact is he was never in the fight vs Maia, and outside a hail mary strike, he's got no realistic chance of ever beating Maia.

Good run but Silva is the only guy who he beat that I actually rate and I'm on the fence with him too. He's improved a lot very quickly though.

It was a good loss for him. He actually was looking past Maia. I like Magny but it sounds like it was the perfect time for a reality check. He keeps improving and who knows but he's not ready for the big boys yet. Still, gotta love how he is approaching his career.

Need to see more. Every time I watch magny fight it looks like a hard sparring session. Don't really see him competing with the cream of WW

He finishes 50 percent of his fight. Not that great of a finish percentage, but not that bad compared to other fighters either.
