Is Mamed Khalidov one of the best fighters outside of the UFC?

Has anyone ever heard if he has been approached by the UFC, or if he is willing to fight there at all?

Looking at his record, the man has almost no meaningful losses. Seems like a Fluke loss to Santiago in Sengoku? Which he avenged..

OTher than that, not since 2005.

Robin Black did a great breakdown of him as well, I'll post that video, and please guys tell me what you think? Is this guy one of the best fighters not signed to the UFC Should the UFC approach him? (Is he willing to go).

Im sure hes pretty content to fight for KSW.

It would be sick to see him in the UFC.

I agree, Him and Mousasi for starters.. could be a good fight. Or even him and Tim Kennedy. There is an endless amount of fights for this guy.

Ufc offered but the money was low (joke), he makes way more there.

To be fair his draws with Daniel Tabera and Ryuta Sakurai, who aren't cans by any mean but no exactly world beaters, could have been easily called defeats if its not for Polish judges. Especially against Tabera.

Khalidov is entertaining and very talented but his wins are against opponents that would not stand much of a chance against any top ten fighter. Still I think he is the 3rd best MW from Europe behind Mousasi and Bisping, and the best MW out of UFC with David Branch, but its hard to tell as long as he doesnt step up in cometition. Would love to see him fight the top dogs from Russia (Storm, Slava and Emeev)

I wish he was more active so we could see where he stands better. Hopefully with Rizin throwing around money they could bring him over once a year. Maybe give him the King Mo treatment with a tournament. He's a top fighter but with his inactivity and lack of top competition these past couple years he's fading in the rankings.

Ufc offered him 20 to show 20 to win.

He said no thanks.

I started a thread on him (I think) a couple of years ago, and I'm pretty sure this was one of the replies I got back, and I did a little more research and found this to be one of the most common reasons why he never came over.

Damn shame that Mamed never was in the UFC in his prime.

He's a really talented fighter. Reminds me of Anderson silva with the looks of Mousasi. Would love to see him in the UFC one day.

I don't know if Santiagos chin that weak or Khalidov hits that hard from guard.

I've always wanted to see him in the UFC, he would be a top 5 guy quick. Very skilled.
