When I saw Maldonado imitating Anderson Silva against the fence, I almost threw my remote control at the TV.

Am I being irrational or does that behavior also bother you?

You are being irrational.

Why the fuck would something so trivial bother you so much?

Several other guys have done it, I can't remember right now but he isn't the first. And they all look like idiots. Do your own thing.

It didn't really bother me, but I thought it was stupid.

didn't like it. He got hit doing it and looked bad

also that fight just totally sucked so that made it worse

You're being irrational... dude wanted to put on a show... live and let live.

I would like to see him stop blocking punches with his face first, that's for sure.

It made him look like an idiot because he doesn't have the skill to do it.

I give Silva a pass for when he does it - because he only ever did it in title fights and fights in a higher weight class and nuked people unconscious with back pedaling jabs (except for that ONE time). If you go on a 16 fight undefeated UFC streak, I don't mind it so much. If you have already posted three losses in a row (more like five losses in a row and having 20+ years taken off your life, depending on how you felt the Texiera fight went), then maybe you shouldn't do it. He won, but his mouth started bleeding pretty good after he did that stuff

I dont think maldonado was arrogant or trying to imitate anderson. He was part of blackhouse for a long time and I have seen cordeiro teaching them leaning against the fence for takedown defense.

Maldonado is a very high level boxer. He was peppering his opponent for the majority of the fight. When he was inciting Joey Beltran to push him against the cage, it was to divert Joey from doing it anymore as I bet Maldonado was feeling quite frustrated by the pushing crap.

When a fighter eggs you on to do the one thing you've been trying to do, it can be very demoralizing. I can't believe how many people are stupid enough to believe he did that just because Silva does that. MMA and fighting goes way farther back and beyond Anderson Silva.

I didn't watch the event but I'm surprised that people are saying that fight sucked. Looked like a slugfest in the making on paper

Up there with Mayweather.

I'd recommend you take a closer look at his boxing record. Or even any of his other MMA fights that wasn't against "Beat Me Up" Beltran.

It was a good fight. People are just being ridiculous.
