Is this serious?

They are trying to make this in my hometown in my football clubs stadium, but Bellew is a bit shit, and this other guy hasn't fought for forever

how the fuck are these fighting for a WBC title?

oh wait, just checked and McKenzie is also ranked.....seems the weight is full of shit fighters

Makabu was Drozd's mandatory but then Drozd got injured. They're calling Drozd a champion in recess now so basically Makabu and Bellew are fighting for the interim WBC title. Makabu fought last May and KO'd Thabiso Mchunu (still haven't been able to track down a video of that fight), a fighter some people were relatively high on. He's a very good puncher with an interesting style. Fight should be fun, at least (I can see Bellew getting KO'd).

Yeah that sucks but the champ cancelled the fight twice now so they had to do something. Better then making the mandatory sit out again and waste two training camps in a row.

I'm hoping that Bellew is up to the task, but damn, the South African can punch! Big time!
But Tony's def got the edge in ring skills, so as long as he sticks to boxing & stays out of harm's way as much as possible while keeping his own hands busy, he should win.

On the plus side, he was quite good as the champion in CREED, so if he doesn't win a world title, he can always give the acting a try again, post boxing.

CW is one of the most entertaining and stacked divisions you dipshit. Makabu beat Kucher who was an up and coming fighter and his last win was against Thabiso Mchunu who schooled Eddie Chambers for almost 10 round and made him get his ass back to HW.

Mchunu also beat Durodola who just upset Kudryashov who is possible the biggest puncher in boxing p4p or at the very least top 5.

Drozd is injured 365/52 and had another injury so Makabu who was supposed to fight him got a shot against bellew. You can argue whether Bellew should get the shot but he has a win over Masternak and is on a winning streak while despite a ton of good fighters are at the weight he's one of the better ones available for a fight at that date.

If you have no idea who Makabu is then don't even bother complaining about one of the more competitive divisions at the higher weights.

I like Bellew but I see him getting knocked out violently. Makabu was the first guy to stop (an ancient tbf) Glen Johnson. He has good cardio, decent defence, a good chin, can counterpunch and has power and accuracy along with being a southpaw.

I don't know what bellew can do he will try to move but it's not like he is a better boxer and better defensively than mchunu so it will probably end badly for him
