Economy Mainstream media ignores miner's strike in Alabama

Good luck to the miners. However, the story should be about them, not about mainstream media. Stop giving a shit about what CNN thinks. You found someone else covering an important story. Lets move on to the story, instead of talking about who isn't talking about it.

There's very little on the Frito Lay strikes either. But what exactly do people expect? It's a deep red state regarding a deep red industry. That's a pretty strong cross section of the group who are insistent that there's no labor or wage issues in the country. They're largely anti-union and anti-media as well.

Who they want to cover this? Liberal media - why? They are the group who thinks liberal media is worthless. Conservative media - why? This is the group who doesn't like unions and labor regulation in the first place.

We can't be all "fuck corporate regulations, liberal media, minimum wage, etc." and then be all "Why doesn't anyone care about these striking workers?"

Maybe they’d cover it because it’s news? It’s a shame that everything is politicized in this era.
FTR: there’s a difference in being absolutely opposed to the stances you mentioned or simply believing that it’s not the Federal Governments role to regulate those things.
Let ‘em bang...

The media is being silent on the protests in France.

Nothing important is covered. Media's whole role is to make you hate fellow citizens and run interference for the elite. Divide and conquers the masses and manufacturing consent when they need a war or something. They are owned by billionaires and staffed with multi millionaires you think they give a fuck about the 95%?

Right now as i type, we are at 420ppm carbon, at 500ppm carbon equivalent when you include methane and nitrous gases, which all means that we are past the climate event horizon. We are at plus 2 C in the arctic now, the feedback loops are in motion which will end much of humanity space. There is a Medicare for all March happening in like 50 cities this week end. MSM won't cover either.

Oh and if you think AOC or the squad or Bernie will be at the M4A march or anything else truly threating to TPTB you'd be wrong. They are liars too. Sheep dogs to corral left into democratic party but are corp shills just the same as any Republican.

Why? There are strikes all of the time, most of them never get covered. What makes this one special?

Don't believe me?

Here's a list of strikes - how many of them are you familiar with: https://apnews.com/hub/strikes

You're right, they should focus on what matters, like covering a couple of Karens in a dog park arguing over a leash.

One doesn't explain the other. You seemed indignant that this strike isn't getting more coverage. I asked why is this one more special than all the others that get minimal coverage? Truckers, health care workers, etc. - you didn't care then, why do you care now?

As for the Karens and dog parks...you guys care about that stuff. You eat that shit up. You tweet about it and post about it and wrap it up in the fabric of our society. How can people bitch when they give you more of what you prefer and less of the other stuff? o_O

because they're citizens; the backbone of our economy and supply chain. If the News ignored a problem that targeted a left-leaning, you'd be complaining. (Right wing media ignoring police brutality in the 80s for example)

You're being willfully ignorant. I like some of your posts, but this is one of your exceptionally bad ones.

Mainstream media outlets made a couple of Karens arguing over a leash at a dog park national news because it fit a leftist narrative: "America is racist." Perfect timing before an election, and helped in a snowball effect, coupled with the Ahmed Aubrey story leading to the George Floyd riots.

however the issue in the OP gets ignored.

So leftist issues are being highlighted and a huge part of the country is being ignored; If you dont see why thats problematic youre just lying to yourself out of partisanship.

The miners should say they are striking to stop CRT and then we would have 40 threads about it
