Maia will show Shields what real Jiu-Jitsu looks like and finish him via sub in round

I agree - I'm not sold on this AJJ.

From what I saw in Shields X Mayhem, Shields has a weak grappling position defense.
I predict a rear-naked choke or a big UD (Maia X Fitch style) in Maia's favor.

I used to be a huge fan of Shields from Strikeforce, but I am pulling for Maia. Maia has proved that if he is good at one thing, its BJJ. I give him the advantage.

If he really decides to grapple with Maia it might end in disaster. I think his striking might be a little less bad than Maia though so maybe there's his chance

Sheilds striking isn't good enough to knock Maia out or even keep him at bay IMO. Small chance he could get a lucky Marquardt punch but highly unlikely. I see it going to the ground quickly and shields getting dominated.

    Shields is actually really good.

Maia is better. I'm hoping he proves it with a finish via Brabo choke round 2. Make me look smart, Maia!

Maia has went to decision in wins against a lot of guys who are not as talented as Sheilds. Predicting a Maia domination and submission is going out on a medium sized limb.

Just like Fitch messed up Maia right? Everyone raved about how there was no way in hell he would get him to the ground...

I do not think Shields has an advantage anywhere in this fight, Maia has at least on par standup, better wrestling, cardio and JJ.

Could be a long night for Jake.

Hopefully this turns out to be a high level grappling match and not a very crappy kickboxing match. I'm rooting for Maia.

If Mayhem can get on Shields' back, a Jiu-jitsu world champion should be able to as well. Obviously that was a long time ago but Maia's jiu-jitsu is just on a different level than most people in the UFC.

Maia will destroy Shields and I can't wait. His grappling and ground work is miles ahead of Jake and this fight will prove it.
