Mafia 3 will launch on October 7 on PS4, XB1, PC
This is one many games I'm looking forward to this fall along with south park dead rising 4 battlefield 1 and many more
Gotta be honest, I have almost no interest in this game. Mafia 2 was a fucking bore to play and turned me off of the series I think.
Loved Mafia and thought Mafia II was alright
Will most likely pick this up after Im done with the new Destiny expansion but Im not eagerly awaiting it
Yeah I never finished Mafia 2. Found the drive from A to B quests happened too much for me and I got bored. People are saying this one is more of a GTA/Saints Row 1 and 2 without the goofiness, clone.
Also didn't finish Mafia2.
Thought it started pretty good but then....it was really allmost just A to B...and that bored me to the point that i just stopped playing it.
BUT...this one actually looks really promising to me from what i saw.
Think i'm gonna grab one in the store, maybe not at launch...gonna wait until it is out for a couple of weeks and some gaming reviews are made
The thing that got to me most about Mafia 2 was you HAD to follow the speed limits and rules of the road. It took realism/immersion to a bit of a ridiculous level.
Shit, if you didn't follow the speed limit, you wouldn't be able to control your car. All of them had terrible steering.
I personally liked the game, and finished it, but really thought it was too short. You could tell (and there are sources I'm too lazy to cite) that they had a lot more planned for the game, but for whatever reason didn't make the cut.
I'll definitely play this.
I wonder if they'll get it right this time. Always thought this series was so close to being great, but was always missing a key ingredient to make it stand out from the pack.
the first mafia will always have a special place in my heart along with vice city...Mafia 2, I was disappointed at first, probably cause I expected too much but when I played it again I found it to be a pretty good game.
I liked Mafia 2, but the driving part got a little old. Overall I thought it was pretty good, but I ended up sticking with it more for the story and not the game play. If there was a fast travel option it probably would only be a 6 hour game.
You didn't necessarily have to follow the speed limit. There was an option in the menu to relax the rules of the road; but you still had to try not to bump into anything and slow down when cops were near though. If the cops turned their sirens on I would just pull over and pay them off.
There was a glitch in the game where you could keep crushing the same car at the scrap yard. It took a little bit of grinding, but I never had to worry about money.
Never played the Mafia's, but with decent reviews ii'll buy this game. Everytime I see talk of Mafia i'm reminded how one of the most under rated games of all time was The Godfather game
They say they will release free DLC post release. Like clothes, weapons, and races.
The soundtrack is over 100 songs from the 60's
Really looking forward to it but mainly because of the location. gunplay looks great though.
Hopefully this is as good as it looks, may get it before the weekend not too sure.
Looks like the same old shit as every other sandbox game.
This game should not carry the mafia title. Should be a separate game under a new title IMO.
There is nothing mafia related in this story. It would be like having a black panthers game with a white guy as the lead.
