before you flame me, just relax and take a breath, these are just my insights and ive had a pretty good track record with picking the winner. ... yes meaning im not always right and neither are any of you.

The reason i see machida dominating is because of his distance and speed.

I think this is going to be kind of like tj vs renan in some ways.

Weidman will try attempt the takedown after getting frustrated on the feet and will fail and if he lands the takedown machida is just too good at getting back up to his feet>

from what ive seen from weidman he is pretty slow.

im almost 100% sure that machida will finish weidman with a tko .

I give machida a 70 percent chance of being the victor >

anyway let the flaming begin.. ill bump this in july! have a nice day

I think its a lot closer than the odds would suggest. My money is on Lyoto but I'm cheering for The Chris.

is this supposed to prove how fast he is.. when his opponent is standing there just to dodge punches while chris looked amateur and missed all of them except the last one.

buddy that was not speed , im no chris hater im just not sold. (yet)

this is just my prediction , dont be so butthurt

Weidman is one of those guys that just finds ways to win.

It will be very interesting to see if and how he manages to beat Machida. I would love to see this fight play out on the ground

Machida has a great opportunity but I agree with others Weidman tends to surprise and finds a way to win. We'll see if he can continue his dominance. Should be a chess match for sure.

Weidman isn't a flat footed idiot. Look at what a wrestler with some footwork did against Machida (Phil Davis)

Yes, many thought Machida won that fight. I did too. But Davis did a good job of making Machida be the aggressor, and countering that with a takedown. Also basically took no damage in that fight.

Weidman isn't going to get frustrated and do something stupid like Ryan Bader, nor will he freeze up and get KO'd like Mark Munoz.

    "Dominate" on the scorecard? Perhaps.

Dominate with control and/or damage? Unlikely.

lets look at his only two wins that even matter at all..

    both are anderson silva

fight one.. silva gets knocked out bc of clowning,, and his speed has truly dimiished from his prime -- impressive that he cought such a legend but it was bound to happen.. up until the knockout the fight was even.

fight two.. weidman has a good first round but even off his bakc anderson managed to mess up weidmans face up more.. then weidman checks andersons kick which waseasy to see coming and people check kicks in almost every fight..and his leg breaks... im not impressed yet... this is why im skeptical of hyping chris up .. we will see in july .. if machida lands those kicks that he landed on mousasi , chris is going for a nap after a flurry of punches and knees (bettin the house on it)

If Machida can impliment his normal movement and keep distance he will win, but he doesnt generally "dominate" anyone unless they are way over matched.

Look I am a huge Machida fan and would love more than anything for him to win his second strap, but this is where I took the rest of your post with a grain of salt.

Anderson Silva is arguably one of the great masters of distance and speed, and Chris tagged him multiple times. He KO'd him in the same manner that he did Uriah Hall. Weidman takes people who think they understand distance and speed, then he eats them for breakfast, and I'll tell you why. His reach. It's insanely deceptive, and he covers distance fast. He has damn good reflexes, and the elbow to Munoz should solidify that fact. If Machida or anyone is to win, they can't just have excellent TDD, they'll also have to outpace Weidman and use some real slick footwork and lateral movement; what Dillashaw just did but at MW.

Of course it's the dragon who's winning half of his fights with a devastating KO, so who knows really. I'm just saying. Chris Weidman is pretty legit.

    I actually agree TS.

Weidman is an incredible grappler but other than a a lucky suckerpunch and a checked leg kick im not impressed whatsoever with his striking arsenal. I dont see Machida having too much trouble picking Weidman apart for the better part of 5 rounds, then again his KO power @ 185 could make this an even earlier night for Weidman.
