he hasn't really lost to a boxer either: rua is a muay thai fighter, jones is a wrestler, he "lost" to rampage but rampage pretty much did nothing to lyoto the whole fight. he also "lost" to davis, but he really won that fight can't argue that one. plus, davis is a wrestler. i don't know where you're going with this. Lyoto hasn't beaten an alien either, that's cuz he hasn't fought one.

wanted to add that rua KOd him with a shot that anybody could throw, boxer or not. He was winning the fight too before that. He just got caught, has nothing to do with boxing. Also, Machida was winning on the feet against Jones until the end where he got cut on the ground and then wasn't the same after. Both of those losses were because of a lot of other factors, can't just blame it on holes in his boxing because that's not true.
