LV hotel GM allegedly fired for tweet telling Mayweather "to learn how to tip like Dana White"

funny thing though, for all the talk of how sensitive black folks are, anytime that's happened when I was around, my friends don't seem bothered by it.

They noticed it but they weren't going to say anything about it. The only reason I did was because I wanted her to hear directly from me why the tip was small. If I'm going to stiff someone, I figure they deserve to know why directly from me. Not written on the check or something.

i seem to remember Dana White and the Palms having a falling out a few years ago over White having something like a 500k unpaid tab. not sure of the exact details, but that led to a falling out between the ufc and the palms

check your facts fam

Dana was blacklisted from the Palms casino (along with Zuffa/UFC) because he beat them for 7 figures back when he used to play Blackjack there regularly.

White confirmed with the Las Vegas Review-Journal over the weekend that he won $2 million during a three-month hot streak at the Palms and was subsequently told he could not come back to play. Initially, his limit was reduced from a maximum of $25,000 per hand to $5,000; then he was just outright given the boot.

as i recently said in another thread, i have the memory of someone with advanced alzheimers. obviously yours has a link to it, so i am not doubting you. but damn i seem to remember something like i said too. maybe i actually heard it from a dealer in the palms as i used to play there from time to time and he could have had it wrong. either way, i am certain i heard that, though it looks like it may not be correct

Man tipping is one aspect of American culture I could never get.

fucking earn you money, fuckign begging theives, should be shot by army.

Tipping is the biggest scam in the United States. It's even more magnified in Las Vegas. You can't even walk 5 feet without some asshole trying to do you a favorite for tips.

Telling Black millionaires what to do with their money is racist....

recently, here in seattle, 15 dollar minimum wage was made mandatory, goddamn, all the whining from all the business owners and all the people who think like you, "if you want better pay get a better job" just assholes, i'm sorry but they are. People are also delusional, everyone thinks they earn what they got, the laziest fucks i've known have also been some of the richest. Sometimes they inherited money or a business, didn't have to do anything. Anyway, many of the seattle business' tried to say they couldn't stay in business if they had to pay 15p/hr, which, for me, is hard to believe because one thing i've learned working off the grid is that the common person will usually pay me way more than I ask and with my logic, i just think if the average person can pay triple or more what i ask to help them move or what have you, these business owners can afford 15p/hr and if they can't, maybe they shouldn't be in business.

Is minimum wage @ $15 an hour for everybody or do restaurant workers have their own minimum wage?

no, it's across the board I believe. I don't know all the details, i'm sure they are online. The downside is, some things seem to cost twice as much, like at mcdonalds. I work off the grid, meaning, I don't really like being exploited by employers, i find my own work and negotiate the pay, usually, it's a lot more than 15p/hr, but only because I work hard and people appreciate it, not because I am greedy. But, the people I do know who are doing basic jobs are getting 15p/hr so far as I know. It's experimental really and you can see by some of these posts, that some people think any kind of low, menial job is done by bums and beggars so there was plenty of resistance to the idea, oddly, by people who didn't even have to pay any workers, some people are just fucking miserable and hate to see anyone get a good break, just the way it is.

America has a retarded tipping culture anyway.

maybe but you know what i think is retarded? how people from other countries think everything is open to bartering. just today I had some lady with an accent try to talk me into working for cheap, it's almost to the point where i want to hang up if i hear an accent, not only is there the language issue, some of these people are just plain assholes. Americans can be too but not in nowhere near the percentages. Cheap isn't so bad but some of these people come here and act like they can't treat people anyway they want to. Now, you want to talk bullshit, that's bullshit.

I have this problem all the time. I’m currently in Indonesia and it’s hard because they start with a high price expecting to bargain, so now I automatically offer a third of the asking price and it’s still more than the locals pay. However fairly or not, I never do business with Pakistanis anymore as they think they can change the deal after the job has been done and act confused when you explain that’s not how it works.

well, sometimes i'm a victim of my own not really caring for money, when i check rates for everyone else doing the same things, it's usually a lot more, i don't want to screw people, so i don't do that. Usually, if i do a move for someone, i set the rate, 85 percent of the time, they tip well without me asking, if they just pay what I ask, that's fine too. I guess I'm saying i'm not greedy and that just attracts the lowballers. it's actually one of the reasons i'm doing food delivery for even less, i get tired of the wierdos and some of the drama although, all said, most customers are fine probably about 95 percent are just fine but i have to vett these fucks.
