Beating Diaz is better for your career than beating the #1 contender. If he beats Diaz convincingly without having to be saved by the bell he jumps over Edwards to the next title shot.

It definitely has a huge reward; like it or not this how the UFC works now. It's all about getting noticed on social media and in the press, it has nothing to do with earning a title shot.
 
If Vinny would just start talking some shit he could be one of the most popular fighters in the UFC. First and foremost he is a total violent savage in the ring who goes for the kill every second of the fight. He's pretty decent looking, he speaks good English he pretty much has the total package he just needs to stop being such a nice guy and start talking some shit. Especially if he beats Diaz,Leon Scott destroyed Diaz and totally wasted his opportunity to get people talking about him
 
The best finisher in welter weight history vs one of the most durable and stamina rich fighters in the promotion.

Sign me up. Luque doesn't need diaz for a title shot but he could use the main stream exposure

5-6 since 2012. Averaging one fight a year the last 3 years.

Personally, could care less if they resign him or let him walk. Not very active and seems like every time he does fight its like a year process to get him in the cage. Sure, he draws decent but if he isn't going to commit to fighting twice a year and stop the BS in between fights then resign him. Otherwise let him walk and become someone else's problem to deal with. Who ever signs him might get lucky and get two fights out of him in 3 years or whatever. He isn't going to give any other org a leg up that is for sure.
 
They literally have to offer Nate some kind of fight. Otherwise they break the conditions of the contract. And if Nate really wants to be a free agent. He will accept any fight they offer him. If they want to lock him up, they have to make an offer he can’t refuse.

The UFC doesn’t really have any leverage here.
 
UFC has screwed Nate Diaz for over 10 years. Just let the man finally become a free agent so he can finally go to Coker make some real money fight in a real organization with some real stand up ppl.
 
It's simple, they aren't scheduling him for a fight until after Conor vs Dustin fight and if Conor loses to Dustin. It'll be Conor's and Nate's last fight on their contract and it'll be the biggest money fight Conor, Nate, and the UFC can do under those circumstances. Wasting Nate's final fight on his contract with anything else is foolish. Nate knows the big pay day is with Conor as his final fight. He will wait it out like he has in the past.
 
Nate wants nothing to do with Luque lmao, he doesn't want to fight, he just want money. Biggest payday for the least effort. Same as Masvidal. BMF my ass.
 
If Nate wants to fight out hos contract they cant stop him. They can control the fight they give him but they need to offer him a fight every 3 months or they are in breach.

The UFC really does play dirty. You got a guy like Nate willing to fight a killer like Luque but they want the Conor fight..........
